Demi's POV

I woke up before Kenzie did. I watched as she calmly slept. I didn't want to wake her up, so I sat and cuddled with her. As soon as my arms wrapped around her, her eyes started to open. I kissed her forehead. "Good morning."

"Morning," she replied, her voice a little hoarse.

"You know what I'm going to ask."

She sighed. "I know. I'm okay." I looked down at her as I waited for her to continue. She looked up at me, then sighed again. She knew I was going to get her to tell me what happened. "He came back, and you left me with him."

"I would never do that, Kenzie."

"I know." She leaned into me. "It was just a dream."

I wrapped my arms around her. "You know, we haven't gone to your favorite place in a while," I said with a smirk. "Want to go out for breakfast?"

She have me the same smirk. "Sure."

She left to get ready, and I got dressed. I brushed my teeth and my put my hair in a messy bun. I didn't even bother with Make-Up.

I went to Kenzie's room and knocked on the door. "Yes?"

I entered her room to see her trying to French braise her own hair. She huffed. "It's not working."

"Would you like some help?" I asked with a giggle.

"Yes please," she mumbled. "I can do it on other people, just not myself."

I finished braiding her hair, and she thanked me. We left to go to our favorite diner. We were seated almost immediately, as it wasn't very busy.

"What can I get you two to drink?" Our waitress asked.

"Water, please," Kenzie quickly responded. I found that a little odd, but didn't pay too much attention to it.

"Me too," I answered.

We looked through the menu. I looked up at Kenzie and noticed she was looking at the low calorie section.

"No pancakes?" I asked. "You could get extra whipped cream." I knew she always loved that.

"Umm, I was just going to try something different," she responded.

"In the low calorie section?"

"Why not?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Is this about the picture?"

"What picture?" She asked nervously.

"On Twitter. I know some jerk posted a photoshopped picture."

"Oh," she said quietly.

I reached over the table to put my hand on top of hers. "Kenzie, don't let it get to you. That picture was clearly photoshopped." She nodded. "So what are you going to get?"

She smiled at me. "Blueberry pancakes. With extra whipped cream."

"Good choice." I closed my menu. "I think I'll have the same." We exchanged smiles, then talked about what we wanted to do later.
