Demi's POV

"What would you like for dinner?" I asked as we both went into the kitchen. Her eyes were still red from crying. Her answer to my question was a shrug. "What if I just order something?" I asked. She shrugged again. "Kenzie," I said with a sigh as I walked over to her. I brought her in a hug. "I don't like seeing you so upset." I held her as she hugged me back. I pulled away to look at her face. "Why are you all of a sudden having all of these dreams?"

"I don't know," she sighed. "I really don't."

"Is it just at home? It's just dreams when you're here?" I pressed. She hesitated before nodded. She seemed to be hiding something. "Are you sure?" She nodded again, this time with more confidence. "You'd tell me if something was bothering you?"

"Yes, mom," she answered.

I studied her face. "Okay." I have her a soft smile. "Now like I said, I don't like seeing you so upset. So I'm going to have to see you smile." She cracked a small smile, but I could tell it was fake. "Come on, you can do better than that." I poked my finger in her side.

"No," she said quickly with a giggle, pushing my hand away. I did it again. "Mom," she said with another giggle. I started tickling her more, and she couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, okay," she continued to giggle, even after I had stopped.

"There. That's the beautiful smile I was waiting for." I kissed the top of her head, then picked up my phone. "How about pizza."

"Regular cheese?"

"Of course."

I ordered the pizza, then returned to Kenzie. "What are you waiting for? It's time to get our onesies on!"

She giggled at me. "You are way too excited tonight."

I went to my room to get my zebra onesie. I waiting in the living room for Kenzie, who eventually came down in her giraffe onesie. I waved her over while grabbing my phone. I took a selfie with her. I posted it to my social medias with the caption "It's a onesies kind of night with this beauty." Within seconds, it got so many likes and comments from Instagram and Twitter.

The doorbell rang, and I went to retrieve the pizza. When I opened the door, the pizza man took one look at me and chuckled. I was still in my onesie. "Looks like you're ready to have a pretty good Friday night," he said.

"Definitely." I paid the man, and he have me the pizza. "Have a good evening."

I shut the door, and returned to Kenzie. I put the box in the living room, then went to the kitchen for plates and drinks.

We spent the night watching crime shows. I've shown her just how amazing some of the shows are, and she's taken interest in them, which makes me super happy. I love her so much. I just wish I knew what was going on in that little head of hers.
