Demi's POV
I held my little girl in my arms for what seemed like eternity. I rubbed her back as she let all of her tears out. She apologized over and over again. My heart broke knowing she was in pain.
Eventually, she pulled away and looked at me.
"Do you hate me?"
"Of course not, baby," I said as I tucked her hair behind her ear. "I told you. Nothing you do could ever make me hate you."
"I'm sorry," she cried again.
"Why didn't you tell me? I asked over and over again. Why did you lie to me?"
"I was scared," she admitted. "I didn't want you to be mad."
"I'm not, I promise. I'm just a little shocked. It's okay, we'll get through this."
I told this to both her and myself.
"Let me see them," I said as I got her to sit back down next to me. I looked closely at them, but didn't touch them. "I want to clean them. Take those jeans off."
She did as I said and I lead her to the main bathroom. I sat her on the counter as I got the first aid kit out.
This reminded me of when I first brought Kenzie home. She was only five and I had to clean all of her cuts her father had given her.
Now she was the one creating the wounds on herself.
I got the anti-bacterial spray and got some cotton balls ready. I sprayed the cuts, making Kenzie wince slightly. It didn't hurt her like I thought it would. Although, I'm sure she's used to pain by now, it wouldn't effect her like it usually would.
I patted the cotton balls around on her small thighs to clean them.
I did it as quickly as I could. I examined her cuts again to make sure none were too deep.
Thankfully, it looked like nothing would need stitches.
I lead her back up to her room. "Put on some loose shorts. Let those breath for a little. Thats the quickest way they'll heal."
She picked out some athletic shorts and put them on.
"Are they're anymore?" I asked.
"Anymore what?"
"Blades," I stated. She shook her head. "Promise?"
She nodded. "I promise."
I pulled her into a hug, and she wrapped her arms around me.
"I'm sorry you've been hurting," I told her. "You need to know that I love you so much, and that you can come to me for anything."
She nodded as she broke the hug. "I love you, too, Mom."
I took her hand and lead her back to her bed. "Now tell me why you're doing this."
