Chapter 28

-Karkat's Pov-
What I saw offended my eyes. Every merperson I ever knew was chained to the wall, and the floors. They were jammed into any space they could be jammed into. I heard the door slam and the lock click. We were trapped in a prison. I heard (Y/N) groan. I looked at her face and saw blood gushing from her nose. "It's okay" I calmed her down and held a cloth over her nose. I could barely see without the light from the door, but I could hear sounds coming from the dark. "(Y/N)? Karkat?" I heard someone ask. John emerged from the darkness. A look of relief washed over his features when he saw us.

Jade came from the dark and hugged (Y/N). "She can't remember anyone she's ever loved." I stated glumly. John patted my back. "Don't worry! We will get through this!" He said cheerfully.

I started searching the basement for the sea witch. I found her chained to the far wall. "How did this happen?" I asked in a dull tone. "It all began when the nets started appearing. I had already seen it happening in my orb, and prepared. I had all my guards start handing out necklaces to everyone, so we could escape. When we reached land... She was waiting for us. She had people ready to capture us. We were chained down here..." The sea witch grabbed my wrist. "Karkat, don't take your eyes off (Y/N). She's our only way out of this." She let go of my wrist, and I went back over to the others.

Why did Terezi do this? I couldn't help but wonder. She's always been so nice and loving... Until she became abusive, and hateful. Things got in her way, and Terezi had to move them, destroy them...

"NOBODY TAKE YOUR EYES OFF (Y/N)!" I yelled as the basement door opened. "Too l4t3 for th4t k4rkl3s" I heard Terezi say, and (Y/N) scream. Terezi closed the basement door, and the darkness engulfed my vision. "(Y/N)!" I called, but only heard more muffled screams. "1 g4v3 h3r to Sollux. H3 c4n do wh4t3v3r h3 w4nts w1th h3r." She smiled. "4nd 1 c4n do wh4t3v3r 1 w4nt w1th you." She smirked and ran one hand through my hair. "1 m1ss3d you k4rk4t" she caressed my cheek. I slapped her hand, "HOW DARE YOU FUCKING TOUCH ME! HOW DARE YOU TAKE MY LOVED ONE AWAY FROM ME YOU LITTLE SHIT! YOU ARENT A MERMAID YOUR A FUCKING BLOOD SUCKING LEACH!" I yelled. I could feel anger pooling inside my veins. I uncapturelogged my sickle and held it at the ready. "HOW D4R3 YOU SL4P M3! YOU W4NT H3R B4CK? G3T P4ST M3 F1RST!" She yelled furiously, and held her dual swords at the ready.

-Your Pov-
"I never thought I'd have you all to mythelf" Sollux licked his lips. I scooted into the corner and tried to get away from him but he only got closer to me. I reached the wall and I knew I didn't have a chance. "Trying to ethcape I thee. Well it'th too late for that" he started kissing me, and running his hands through my (H/L) hair. I pushed away, and screamed trying to get help. "HELP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs but he covered my mouth with his hand. "No more threaming my little pretty"

-Eridan's Pov-
I was sitting in the living room where Terezi had told me to wait. I could her screaming and yelling, but something told me not to intervene. This wasn't the time for me to announce what side I'm on yet.

-Sea Witch's Pov-
I could hear the screams and the yelling. The war has begun.
