Zac
I wake shivering and soaked with my own sweat.
Man this is getting old.
All I can see are blurry little shapes moving around in all directions. My head is pounding and my body is sore all over.
My vision finally clears, and I know that I am in a cell, with glass in front. There's water on the floor in a bowl, and some kind of raw meat next to that.
I try to morph back, but a hot, searing pain goes through my head. I start to hear voices whispering my name but with a quick shake of my head they are gone. I take a weary a step foward and am immediately greeted with a sharp bolt of electricity through my body. I yelp in suprise and jump back. I curl up in the corner resting my aching paws.
"He's up Dr." A faraway voice says. Footsteps echo around the room, my vision goes blurry, then changes all together, it almost looks like I'm seeing heat signitures instead of normal sight.
A red, and yellow object is walking towards me, I don't know why but all of a sudden I feel scared, in danger. I feel like this person will harm me. All my natural predator instincts kick in and I can't seem to controll them. The yellow, red blob comes in and I try to lunge, but a second bolt of electricity holds me back. More voices, fear, fear, fear.
"Zac don't fight us." A sweet voice says. Her face swing in and out of focus going from red and yellow to normal skin. I shake my head confussed but my wolf is knows what he's doing.
She will hurt us, she can hurt us. I shake he thoughts out of my head.
No, they rescued us. They want to help. I convince myself, but the pain doesn't leave. A war between two minds, and the human side wasn't winning.
She will- My thoughts come to an end as something hits my shoulder and I start feeling tired. The last thing I hear before I'm out is a strong voice.
I was right.
Jax:
I wake up on something soft. My whole body feels like it is resting on a cloud. I open my eyes and bright lights blind me. I blink a couple of times ajusting my eyes and look down to see thick white banages covering my left side.
Blue lights are circling my wrist and an I.V is in my arm. I move my arm to the left and the blue light burn my wrist. I grimace and let my arm fall back to my side.
"Jax?" I reconize the voice immedently. Ella. I close my eyes immedently hoping she didnt see me move. "Jax I know you're up." She says her voice getting closer.
When her hand lands on my shoulder my eyes snap open, and I try to move away from her. I wince the minute my body twists.
"Try to relax, Kiera did a number on you. " She says in a calm almost soothing voice. Her hand moves from my shoulder to my left side. I slow my breathing and try to calm down. I was in no condition to fight her.
"That's better," She says removing her hand and looking down into my eyes. I look away from her glare and stare at the guards walking past. "You know we are still the same people that saved you from Kaine." She says trying to change my opinion on her. I don't reply and she takes a seat next to my bed.
I turn to her then.
"I thought you were different, I thought you acually wanted to help us." I start seeing how my words were effecting her.
"I want to learn about you Jax and most importantly I want to stop the war." She says her eyes sparkling. "You are, really special Jax."
"We are being used as soldiers." I spit not trying to hide the anger in my voice. She looks away from my eyes.
"I'm sorry Jackson."
"No you're not." I whisper turning away from her the best I can.
"When the war ends and your children have a world of peace you'll understand." She replies after a minute of silence. She goes to get something off a counter and comes back holding a bottle and sticks a syringe into it. She mesures it carefully, before coming over to me. She goes to inject it in me, but I struggle wincing with every move. She backs off waiting for me to stop.
"What is that?" I question. I know she can see the fear in my eyes, but I don't care. Instead of ignoring me and jamming it into my arm, she explains.
"It's for the pain." She explains.
"I.. don't...need it." I say wincing with every word.
"You don't aways have to bear the pain of others." She responds moving foward. I struggle for a second but then decide against it.
I lay back against the pillow as he needle slips below my skin. A cool liquid courses through my veins and the pain slowly washes away. She doesn't say anything as she leaves, and neither do I.
Michael:
The guard's hands dig into my forearm as I trudge slowly down the pristine white halls in shame. There is litterly no one else around and its starting to creep me out. These halls seem different then the ones we were in a week ago. But then again, everything lookes the same so it was easy to get lost.
A few minutes ago we got in an elevator and went up a few floors. I guess they have to keep up with their lie, so everyone who knows is seperated.
I wonder where they're taking me. Prison? Torture? Back to my home? Just outside the base? Wait, will they kill me because I know to much?
I look desperately for a way out. We start passing these weird glass room. One wall was glass and the other three were just plain, white walls. Children looked up at me from inside the rooms with haunted looks. They all looked around the same age, and all had the same white pants and white shirts.
I just go back to hanging my head in shame, when I see one girl sitting a room with white blonde hair. She is not wearing the standard white shirt and white pants. No she had a colored tee and jeans. I look closer and realize that same girl has light purple eyes.
Wait purple?
"KIERA! KIERA!" I'm screaming at the top of my lungs. She doesn't even so much as glance at me.
Please Kiera look over her. I think.
To my suprise she turns her head just a little. Her eyes meet mine and when she recognizes me she springs off her bed and puts her hands against the glass. Her mouth is moving and her fists are slamming aganist the transparent material, and yet I can't hear a thing.
She stops pounding. She must have realized I can't hear her. I yell out for her again, but all that happens is a piece of cloth gets shoved in my mouth. I spit it out and stop walking, forcing the guards to drag me down the hall.
All of a sudden we stop right before we are out of sight of Kiera. One of the guards turns around, pulls out his tazer, turns it around and slaps me with the handle. I crumble to the ground, fading in and out, all while watching Kiera's eyes turn into a deeper purple.
