I throw on an old pair of jeans, and a wrinkled grey shirt, then I shove my feet into my shoes without tying the laces, and quickly race to the bathroom.

I had five minutes before school. I pull a comb threw my hair, and race out the bathroom.

I run down he stairs almost tripping and grab my backpack and lunch. I grab my bag and throw it over my shoulder, hen gave a piece of toast from he toaster.

"I'll get it!" I choke from a mouthful of bread. I walk over to the door expecting Carly, my best friend to be at the door, instead I find two men in suits, and two teenagers wearing jeans, and grey tee-shirts.

"Um, can I help you?" I say akwardly, swallowing the last of the toast. These guys didn't look like the President's soldiers.  Plus they only came around when someone was out of line.

I feel the presence of something at my feet and look down. My German Shepard, Harvy, stands by my feet growling.

"Harvy knock it off." I say kicking him to the side.

"Sweety, what's going on?" My mom asks as she comes to the door, and apple in her hand.

"Oh, hi." She says smiling politely.

"Morning ma'm," one replies. He holds up a golden badge. "We are with the FBI." He says.

"Oh dear, has something happend to Jack?" My mom asks looking startled. My Dad was an FBI agent and we all were scared that one day two men would come to our door with badges and sad looks.

"No, no your husbands fine, um can we come in?" He reassures.

I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding in.

My mom lets them in and they seem to sink and disappear in our chairs.

The teens look about my age, both males. One has sleek black hair, while the other has short, military cut, blonde hair. They both have green eyes, which is kind of wierd. My attention turns back to the one man, he seems to be in charge.

"I'm Officer Kaine, and this is Officer Carl, and I'm sorry but your boy is in a some major trouble with the law."  Officer Kaine's eyes are a sharp green, his black hair is cut perfectly.  Carl on the other hand has hazel eyes and short brown hair.

I tune out the rest, but all I know is that my Mom starts crying and my sister comes down. My focus comes back and I hear the last part of the conversation.

"We're going to have to take him to a correction facility." I can't bear listen again. A correction facility? I didnt even do anything. My mom starts going on about how, they must be mistaken, or how they need to wait for my dad to come home, so he can sort this out.

The officials seem persistent and keep trying to persuade my mom to let me go. This goes on for a couple more minutes, until Officer Kaine gives in to my mom, the other man Officer Carl a slight nod. He stands up and walks to the window closing the blinds, then he walks to the door and locks it.

Mom and my sister, Ella don't seem to notice.

The Officer comes back to his seat and stands as if waiting for an order. Then the two kids begin to rise slowly, almost in perfect unison. Kaine stands up as if to leave, and my mom thanks him for waiting, but then something unexpected happens. The two men pull out guns, and the teenagers begin to turn into animals.

Evil animals at that, they seem to be in the shape of certain animals but instead of fur, they have metal. Almost as if they are wearing armor, for a battle. Emma screams, my mom pushes her behind her, and I back away.

I see my dads cop car pull up in the driveway, and pray for him to turn around. Harvy starts barking like crazy, because he's trained too bark in the presence of a gun.

This only seems to worry the men and they point their guns at Harvy.

"Wait, don't hurt him, I can quiet him down." I plead. The men nod and slowly watch as I walk over to Harvy and give him his favorite toy.

"Its only a drill boy." I say quietly to him. It seems to calm him down. If only it were a drill. I hear the key turn in the lock and then my dad slams the door open.

Dad looks up and opens his mouth as if to say something, but stops when he sees the men. His hand quickly goes to his gun, but he's too slow.

One of the teenagers or couger thing, races for him and tackles him to the ground, attacking him in the process.

Harvy whines, and tries to race over, but I grab his collar and hold him with all my strength. My mom covers my sister's eyes, but I can't stop staring, as the big cat tears away at the cloth, and skin.

I don't wait for anything else to happen. I grab my mom, sister and dog and run to the back door.

Along the way I hear the sound of a bullet zooming past, but it's not headed for me, it misses me and instead hit my mom in the shoulder. She falls down clutching her arm. It kind of looks like one of the guns they had in my dads drills. I slowly raise my arm to grab one of Harvy's leash and quickly attach it to his collar.

"Get Ella out!" She yells over the noise of running, and screaming. Tears start to fill my eyes, and my vision blurrs as I run out of the house.

Clutching Ella's hand and Harvy's leash. I drag them out the door and notice the other metal animal chasing me. I finally realize what they want. Me.

I slam the back door shut in the guys face but I only have a few seconds, before he breaks through. I spin Ella around, and shove the leash in her hand. She's crying and shaking like crazy, but I manage to steady her if only for a minute. I look her in the eye.

"Ella, listen to me, they are after me, I want you to run to Zoe's house, and don't look back no matter what you hear, okay?"

"Okay." she nods as tears stream down her face, and hair covers her eyes. Her big, trusting brown eyes look up at me. I hug her, pat Harvy and spin her around. She starts running the instint I let go.

She's taking my advice and isn't look back. I start sprinting in the opposite direction, taking in mouthfuls of water as the sky opens up, and it starts pouring.

A few minutes later I hear panting. I must be really tired if I'm panting, but when I stop to catch my breath and turn around. I see Harvy running towards me leash trailing.

"No, no, no stupid dog!" I say which is a complete lie, because Harvy is a well trained police dog. And as much as I want to deny it, I'm glad I now have company.

He jogs up next to me, as I'm thinking of ways to get him to go back to protect my sister. I clip off his leash which is no good anymore, and shove it in my pocket. I can't send him back, so I guess I have to take him with me.

I look behind me and see a flash of silver.

"Harvy we have to go." I say to the dog. He looks up at me as if he understands.

"Let's go." I say as I start sprinting , I hear him following not far behind. My hair falls into my face, annoying the crap out of me. I mentally yell at myself for not listening to my mom when she said to get a haircut.

I felt bad now, thinking of her. I felt like throwing a baseball at the head of Officer Kaine, if he really was an officer.

Dad had us introduced to to everyone and there was never an officer Kaine. So why did you not say anything. A little voice in my head shouts. Maybe because.. but my thinking comes to a stop as I run into something silver and shiny.
