I ran like hell. Past trees and lakes and ponds. They were so close behind me I could smell their breath. They kept pawing at my ankels trying to trip me. My one mistake was the quick glance behind me, I looked and I saw wolfves and bears and dear all chasing me. That's when I finally did trip, I triped over a fallen tree, straight onto my back. I scrambled to my feet, but they were already surronding me. Birds with their sharp beaks and talons, wolves growling and showing teeth, and a bear that kept looking at me like a nice, juicy fish. Jax finally caught up to us with a couple of deer. Unlike me he looked perfectly fine, not even tired.

"Key." He demands.

"What happend to you?" I ask. "Why didn't you attack me before." He looks confussed.

"You didn't have key then." He says. I stare at him closely, this is the boy I knew my entire life but something was off.

"You're not Jax." I reply.

"Yes I am." The fake Jax insists.

"What's my favorite color?" I ask him. Only Jax or Skye would know this.

"Blue?" He says more like a question then a statement.

"Wrong." I say. The Jax bot looks annoyed. While he's distracted, I jump to my feet, and run past the startled mutts. Out of the forrest I look for a way to cut them off. A car turns the corner, almost running into me. I look behind me at the animals running towards me and make a split second decision. I jump onto the car and climb to the roof, hnging on with my hands. I wave to the Jax bot. It just watched as the car drove away, and then he dissaperd, along with all the animals. I blinked a couple of times trying to see if I was hallucinating, but no they were gone. I waited untill the car pulled up close to my street before jumping off, I stumbled into the house and ran up the stairs. I ran past Zac and into my room, shutting the door behind me. I went to my dresser and pulled on a necklace. It wasn't much of a necklace it was just soke rope with a piece of quartz on the end. I pulled off the rock and tied to key to the rope, then I threw it over my head. It rested against my heart. I grabbed a pair of jeans, my combat boots and a shirt that seemed to be from a 5K. I walked to the bathroom and took a shower letting the water fall on my shoulders. I kept an eye on the key, the whole time. When I got out I heard Zac talking. I threw on my clothes and opened the door slowly.

"She was talking about a past life?" My mom questions.

"Yeah something like that." Zac replies.

"Amnesia is a wierd thing." My dad says. "Just give her time."

"Maybe we should take her somewhere." Mom says.

"Like where?"

"I don't know, a therapist."

"A therapist, now we're going to far, she just said one thing."

"Yeah one thing that sounds crazy. " Mom snaps back. There was a silence before she continued. "I'll just take her for one session." Mom says. Dad starts to say something back, but Mom cuts him off. "End of discussion."

I slump back to my room and fall onto my bed, thinking of what they said. Somehow I fell asleep, thinking of everything.

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Lights, sounds, faces. I blink a couple of times and see a face, my first response is Kaine. I snap up, then groan. My vision clears and I see my ribs are coverd with several white bangades, and Martin sits in a chair.

"Easy there, that burn is pretty bad." Martin says.

"Where are we?" I ask, holding a hand to my ribs.

"C.L.A.W"

"Where, what happend?"

"We killed Kaine, rescued the morphs, and you blacked out."

"Kelly?" I ask. He looks away.

"She's in surgery." He says quietly.

"And the kids."

"Come see for yourself." We walked out of the imfirmary, and towards our cages. They were mostly used as a jail if someone got to drunk and started shifting uncontrollablly. We've never nad a criminal, everyone gets fair share and everyohe works hard, but we had made a law. All criminals would be banished, and everybody knew that was a oje way ticket to Kaine's lavatories. We walk into the room which used to have to holding cells. Five brand new metal tablels lined the wall, with five struggling kids chained to them. I look over at Martin.

"They're still-" I start, looking over at the kids, fighting against the chains.

"Yes, still brain washed." He says sighing

"What did he do?" I pause. " Its like they are another person completely."

"I belive they are still in there and I can see you believe it to."

"I want to believe, but I just-"

"You're going to help me fix them," Martin says interrupting me. "Right?"

"Yeah, I mean I'll try." I say. Kiera stops struggling.

"She's never coming back." The fake Kiera says.

"Why where is she?" I ask, walking over to her.

"Hopefully someplace terrible." She says grinning. I grit my teeth, refraining myself from slapping her.

"I know you're in there Kiera." I say to her.

"No I don't think she is." Fake Kiera says. "Maybe she's dead." She says grinning again, I can feel my claws growing.

"Maybe I'll just kill you." I take my hand and move it towards her chest. Martin's hand is there before I can reach her.

"Let's go." He says. I stand my ground. "Don't make me drag you out of here myself." I turn around defeated and push past him.

"Let's go celebrate." He says pushing me out into the hall.

"Celebrate what?" I grumble.

"Celebrate victory."
