Skye:

I barly listened to Ella's advice when we reached level six.  She showed me to my bunk and gave me a new pair of clothes to wear.  I wasn't quite a guard, but I wasn't a prisoner either.  I was somewhere in the middle.

"Keep you head down, and don't get into trouble." She advises looking into my eyes to make sure I understand.  I avert my eyes from her gaze but slowly nod.  She hands me a pair of camo pants, black boots, and a white tee.  "Skye you understand you're not a prisoner here, right?"  She says.

"I do."  I say, in a shaky voice.

"Are you okay?"  She follows with, as I take a seat on my bunk.  I nod, but really the only thing I can focus on is how upset Kiera was.  She never got like that.  Jax was always by her side protecting her, when she would get herself in trouble.  She rarely backed down from a fight, and she was always up for a challenge.

Now she just seemed, broken.

"Okay." Ella says quietly, before slipping out of the room.

I glance up at the open door when I hear feet shuffling just outside my door.  I thought it was Ella back to talk but instead I see Cameron, Jax and Michael's bunk mate shuffling across the floor with his hands handcuffed in front of him. Two guards follow his every move pushing him along.  He turns to me and mouths out something I can just about make out.

You can't trust them.

Then he's gone, pushed into an elevator away from my sight.

Jax (dream)

A man with military cut hair and sharp cold eyes, that I somehow knew to be Kaine, is staring at the battlefield filled with wounded soldiers and morphs.

Kiera and a boy with dark hair and green eyes, Zac are both standing next to me.

"My boy!" Kaine bellows, "If you have stayed with your father and I, none of this, would have happened. " he gestures to the wounded.

I'm so confused, why is Kaine talking to him like that? Like Zac is his possession.

Kiera looks at me and silently conveyed a message, 'Follow my lead and charge'

I look back into her eyes and convey my own message, agreeing to her word.

"Kaine! I know you better than my own father did!" He yells, trying to beat the forthcoming wind.

"I know that all you want is power and control! And you know what?!" He steps up to Kaine, "I'm not going to allow it!"

"Ha! You foolish boy!" Kaine reaches behind him to pull out a wickedly sharp spear from the sheath on his back. Zac's eyes widen in shock.

"You will never be strong enough to beat me!" He smiles coldly, and I know what he's about to do.

"No!" I plead for Zac's life. "Stop! We can reason!"

He laughs, "After all this bloodshed?!" He nocks the spear, "To late NOW!"

With the Word NOW, much to my horror he lets it fly. I am frozen in fear, to afraid to help Zac. Even if I wanted to, I'm to far away to do any help. I imagine I can hear the blade whistling through the air.

"Nooo!" Kiera morphs into a cheetah, and sprints as fast as she can to Zac. She jumps in front of Zac fully human, right before the spear hits him.

The blade hits her instead, right in the stomach. I can see the tip protruding out her back. No. No. No.

Kaine disappears into thin air. I morph and run over as fast as I can to her.

Zac is kneeling by her dying body. Her shirt is dyed with her crimson blood. My eyes are blurry with tears.

I run to her side, "Kiera?"

Zac is next to me on the ground, "This should have been me. The spear was aimed at me." I barely hear him.

"I should have saved her." I barly manage to choke out, "Kiera?"

"This is all your fault Jax." Zac yells at me.

"What I-"

"You brought her here, you told her it was safe."

"I didn't bring her here."

"You should be ashamed."

And then she's gone.

I wake up in the still in the hospital with tears streaming down my face.
