As we are herded into the hallway I break away from the chasos of the hallway. As I'm walking down the hall, I glance out the window. I see the second building where some of the morphs still are. They still think this place is safe. I turn away from the window and run to my room. The halls are clear. Most of the people are testing and the morphs are locked up. I type in the passcode to my room looking over my shoulder. I run to my desk and pull the drawers open shuffling through all the crap that is in there. It's not in there. I run to my bed shaking my matress. Nothing. I look around my room, there is nowhere else to look. Fear runs through me, I can only hope they didn't find it.
I sit down on my bed in defeat running a hand through my hair. When I see something shiny sticking out of the pocket of my jacket. I jump up and grab my jacket pulling out a the shiny object. A small glass bottle filled with a clear liquid falls out. I sigh in relief and quickly pull the cork from the bottle. I raise it to my lips and drink. The taste is auful, a mix between sour milk and lemons. I wipe my mouth and swallow the horrible liquid.
"Martin?" A voice calls. I shove the jar in my pocket and spin around. Kaine stands in the doorway one eyebrow raised. "You're supposed to be testing." He says.
"I was cold." I say grabbing my jacket.
"Right, well get a move on you wouldn't want someone to think you are up to something." He says. I nod and walk past him throwing my jacket on. This time I don't look out the window, I turn the corner just as my name is called. I file into the small room and take a seat in the extremly uncomfortable chair. I think they do it on purpose. The door closes and I wait for the tester.
* * * *
The is time ticking away ever so slowly. The test minutes away.
Footsteps sound in the hall, and I clear my mind. A tall, thin man walks in. The tester. He walks over towards the table in front of me and places a glass of water down. Then he takes a seat in the chair across from me.
"Have something to drink." He says pushing the water foward. I take it without hesitation. The metalic taste of the truth serum fills my mouth. I drink it all and push it back towards him. Hopefully the drug I took a few seconds ago would kick in and reverse the effects of the serum.
" Now we'll start with an easy one." He says. "What is your full name." I take a deep breath and awnser my first question.
"Martin Joseph Green" I reply. The man checks the chart and shakes his head up and down.
"We're ready to begin then."

Today not as horrible as yesterday and maybe better than tomorrow. If there is a tomorrow. Maybe I'll just wake up to ashes and dust. No more lush green forests of clear streams. No more lakes or rivers or oceans. Not a world with humans, but a world with demons. Unless demons already concored the earth and we are the angels, but if that's true why do we destroy.
Were we born to destroy were they born to destroy the earth, the one place we can live. Does humanity hate the possibility of a future. Or are we so selfish that we just want to live in the now. Screw the future it can fend for itself, but in reality it can't because we are making the future we are shaping the world. The future, see it's just a lump of clay and we are the sculptures, we are the artist. Soon though we might lose our creativity and soon that clay will be nothing more than a lump of dirt and dust. Soon because our time is running out and the future is dying.

"Why did you join the cause." I suck in the air, and answerr like a brain washed robot.
"To preserve and protect the cizizens of America." The man glances up at me breifly before continuing.
"Are you in league with any secreat organization." He asks. I can feel the lie on the back of my tounge, the lie that has kept me alive for years.
"I am in no contact with any orginization." I reply staring up at the man. After one last quetion the president comes in to review my results. He almost seems to eager to see my exam. The president frowns and then walks over to me.
"Phase two will begin shortly." Then he walks back into the hallway with his guards. The tester motions to another chair. I sit in the chair and the tester restrains my hands. After my wrists are secure to the chair the tester ties a blindfold around my face. I hear the tester walk away and wait in silence. The truth serum can't help me now.
Soon footsteps echo in the halls and I hear someone walk into the room. A hand is placed on my arm. I feel the person tap on my arm twice and immediately know who it is. Every year before phase two begins I ask one of my men who is secreatly working undercover with me to inject me with a memory serum. I specially desinged this serum to clear all my thoughts and memories for a short period of time.
My empty brain is then replaced with fake memories to pass the test. I feel the needle sink into my arm and feel the liquid run through my veins. Before I can start freaking out about where I am, and whos touching me, I feel the second needle go in. A perfect sedative for a perfect plan. My partner quickly slips out the door just before the real work begins. I focus on the fake memories, memories of working in a lab, creating morphs, killing morphs. Two cool fingers touch my forhead and then the fake memories flash before my eyes.

I wake up in the same dimly lit cell, with Kiera. I move carefully, trying not to wake her. I look down at the food in disgust and kick it across the floor. I put my hands on the cool metal bars and stare through. I notice the gloves on my hands which I had forgotton about. I rip off the bandages to revel my blody knuckles and the cloth of the gloves. I feel my fangs escape from my gums, and feel them on my skin. I see the trickle of warm blood escape from my hand. Then my claws come out tearing the fabric more, but then the fabric stops ripping. It pushes in on my claws and I fall to my knees hugging my hand, and gasping for breath. Kiera snaps awake and hurries over. She kneels down beside me and watches as the glove sucks the life out of my hand. Kiera's fangs snap out and her claws which are a gleaming silver. They attach themselves to the cloth and rip, but all it does is leave marks on my skin. I shriek in pain from the gloves and from the claws. I look down at a pair of shinning boots through the bars. Kiera jumps up and yells.
"Stop it right now, you're going to kill her!" She looks up at him, the man. Kaine puts a finger on this button outside of the cell.
"Kaine you better stop that now, or I swear-"
"That you'll kill me?" "Such an empty threat Kiera, when I can do so much worse." Kaine smirks.
"Oh yeah, Kaine what are you doing to do send poison spirling down my veins, we all know you can't do that to your prize winning morph." Kaine pulls out a button, but looks over his shoulder at one of the taller men before coming back at me.
"See this Kiera this is your future, I can end it right here right now." Most of the other men are walking away now, some talking about being late to a test or whatever.
Kiera is gripping the bars so hard now her knuckles are turning white. The gloves start to fall off and I let out a sigh of relief.
"DO IT KAINE, I DARE YOU." I can tell Kiera made him mad, I can see the look of furry on his face. He comes closer to the glass. "It would be an honnor." Then he pushes the black button. My eyes widden in fear, and I watch as Kiera falls to the ground already unconsious.
