Ash wasn't supposed to rain down like snow and cities weren't supposed to be piles of rubble.
But it is and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

I have no words to describe what I'm feeling. Maybe a punch in the gut, but I think that would be like a picnic.
"You traitor!" Kiera yells at him. She stands up and he chair slides across the room. Martin looks up at me, but I look away.
"Zac-" Martin starts
"Don't even talk to me." I take the watch from Kiera and pocket it. He saved me but he didn't save Kiera. He lied to us....again.
"Guys I can explain, It all happend the day you were born. Our pack was being attacked by the goverment. When we saw you guys for the first time we knew you were beta morphs. We only had one boat to escape from. I begged your mother to come, but she insisted I take you guys to saftey. She said she would not be the leader that left her people in a time of need. She said I needed to take them to saftey because she wasn't leaving. I told her shecouldn't fight, not after having to children, but she wouldn't listen. She said someone had to lead, to try to get the pack to saftey." He pauses.
"I left everything that night, and I took you away on that boat. Before we could get far though, a ship stopped us. Kaine's boat. He asked what we were doing. I made up an excuse, but one of the older men caught me lying. He said I was carrying two morph children and that I was probaly a morph too. I took a chance and said that I got seperated from them 3 years ago and that I stole you guys from the morphs. They belived me. Trust me when I say it was the hardest thing working for them and watching you guys go through all that.
I see Kiera staring at me in awe and Zac just shaking his head.
"What makes you think we won't sell you out?" I say
"Because I'm the only one who can help you."
