Chapter 55

We tear into the city at lighting speed and then stop. Kaine was gone.

"Okay everybody spread out we'll find him faster." I yell.

"No!" Kelly says.

"What, what are you doing?" I say stopping myself from running.

"That's exactly what Kaine wants us to do, split up so he can take us out easier." "He knows he's out numberd, so he's trying to be smart about it."

"Then what do you think we should do?" I ask trying to sound less annoyed then I was.

"We stick together." She says.

"Great now I feel like I'm in in kindergarten." I mumble to myself. Kelly tells the pack our decision, and we head north. We only have to walk a couple of steps before running into a morph. It growls at us and stares.

"Okay maybe we should spread out." She says. I contoll myself from throwing my hands up and yelling I told you so to her. Instead I just nod. Kelly tells us to split up in groups and run into the city, trying to distract the morphs from their targets, while we find Kaine.I grab a team of five plus Kelly. We head towards the city hall hoping to find Kaine there. The sounds of war were all around us. Screaming people, and the cries and howls of morphs. We saw Kaine standing in front of the city hall, with Kiera and the others.

"You're to late." He says pausing for effect. "It's already started." He says staring at the brick wall of the building.

"Oh this?" I say pointing to the city. "This is cute." He turns around to face us, his tie almost hitting him in the face. His collord shirt is a sky blue, I had almost forgotton what that looked like.

"Just, look around Jordan, " He says spitting my name in hate. "I've already won!" He pauses. "I've got labs making more morphs and labs destroying humans in other continents." I look over at Kelly, her face is completly in focus mode, she must be trying to get through to Kiera. "Did you here that Jordan continents, I don't just have 5,000 little morphs in one state." He says. He turns to Kelly. "What is she doing?" He walks over to us, looking at Kelly. I put a hand up.

"She's just sleeping from your boring speech, " I say trying to buy time. Kelly hurry up.

"She's doesn't look like she's sleeping." He walks closer, signaling to Kiera. Kelly snaps out of it. I can't reach her. She says back. "So that's what your were doing, trying to reach brain dead Kiera." He says smiling. Kiera and the others walk closer. I signal to my mini army of five, telling them to get ready. My hands ball into fists, and my nails dig into my palms.

"You know I do remember Danielle, such a sweet child."

"Don't you talk about her." I say canines growing. Kelly puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't let him get under your skin. " She warns.

"I did love using her as my lab rat," He pauses for effect. "You know she would have survived if she was strong enough." "I guess she just wasn't-" I slam into him.

"I said SHUT UP." I yell, slamming him into the brick walls. His eyes flash yellow, and I almost jump back."

"Suprise." He throws me off, and I fly through the air landing near Kelly and the others. ATTACK! I scream through my mind. Everyone gets on someone. My morphs tackle the kids to the ground, trying to be careful. I walk back over to Kaine.

"Oh I'm going to enjoy this." He says. He punches and I duck.

"Not fast enough." I spit. He punches me again, this time he doesn't miss. His fist pounds into my nose. I hear the crunch, and then see the blood pour out my nose. I wipe it away. He grabs my foot and flips me over I land on my feet, and spin around finally landing a punch in his ribs. Anger fills his eyes and he charges, knocking me to my back. I jump up and face him. He kicks me and I grab his foot twisting it, he flips and lands on his feet. He kicks my foot out from under me and I fall to the floor. He kicks me again. I try to get up but his foot is already on my back kicking me over. I roll around on the ground like a dog. He kicks me untill I'm on my back. He holds a ball of burning blue light. The electricty runs from finger tip to finger tip. He puts his hand on my ribs. Firery hot electricity burns through my shirt and skin.
