Zac
I woke up this morning and almost freaked out because Kiera was not back. I found her in Emma's cell asleep instead of waking her I went outside. I fly up to a training tree and sit there watching, waiting. A whistle blows and I see Skye along with other morphs get released for the first time in months. The little kids bound around enjoying the sunlight while the teens talk. Another whistle blows.
"HEY THIS AIN'T NO FREAKING DAY CAMP, YOU BETTER CUT THAT OUT,
BEFORE I COUNT TO THREE OR YOU'RE ALL GOING INSIDE ."The kids stopped running and the teens stopped talking this was our once chance at fresh air. It felt like the fun and joy had been sucked right out of the air and I was starting to feel the effects of it. All these morphs were born with this gift or......curse. Now they were being trained how to use it in a bad way. After everybodys semi fun was sucked the trainers started splitting the groups up.
Five and under were brought to one corner and yelled at untill they learned how to morph. Six, seven and eight started learning how to fight. Anybody above nine was starting duels. I watched as a nine year old boy and mabye a 13 year old girl were brought to the center. They would fight untill the other morph was unable to fight.....or dead. I was so focused on the fights I almlst got mauled by a little white lion. A little royal lion acually. I just barly heard the command.
"HEY YOU, ROYALTY YOU AIN'T ROYAL IN MY KINGDOM GO CLIMB THAT TREE!" I flew away just as the little lion started to climb the tree. Just as I flew away an alarm went off, I was very confussed untill a net sailed over my head and slamed me to the ground. I morphed to human so I could be reconized.
"Zac? What are you doing out here."
"Ummm relaxing." I stammer. The man laughs at me and throws me at another man. "Take him to the president. " I smile at the man holding me just as he drops me to the ground. I see Martin walk into the arena looking dazed. "Wait don't bring him yet." The man standing over me says. "We can make this a teaching moment." He smiles. "Max." The man standing over me yells at one of the trainers. "Bring the 5s." He yells, then he rips the net off of me and kicks me towards tbe door. I barley stand up before he kicks me again this time missing. He must have put a lot of force into it because he falls on his back slamming into the cold, unforgiving earth. I feel like karma is sometimes a good thing. He gets up and turns towards me. Maybe not. I notice Max and the five year olds have arrived and stand watching behind me. Max whispers to the kids.
"This is what happens when you disobey." Then he turns and points at me. The trainer I ticked off walks over to me and grabs my collor, he pulls me off the floor with one hand. He makes it look likes he's holding an apple. I look down and see my feet dangle above the ground. This guy was pretty strong.
I look up at the trainer and my eyes lock with his. His hand sweeps before my eyes before it's in my face. Blood pours out my nose and down my shirt, making a messy red stain. He punches me again and again, his fist connecting directly with my nose. I hear the little kids whinning and freaking out. I see the older kids smirking at me and giving me thumbs up. When I get back I'm going to show them who's in charge. Another hit to my face makes my whole body shake. The trainer is about to use my face as his punching bag again when someone yells stop. Everybody looks around wondering who it was, when my eyes find Kaine standing at the training arena's door. Martin stands stands behind him. He must have got him once he realized what was going on.
"I'm sorry but I dont recall giving you authority to punch my assistant. As a matter of fact I belive this boy has more power than you. You are a mere trainer, easily replacible, this boy is a beta morph. I swear if any serious harn has come to this boy you will pay with your life." Kaine glances around the arena and everyone looks down. The man holding me drops me to the ground, and quivers in fear.
