We end up chasing the bright, yellow bus all the way to school. By the time we get there Zac is panting and sweat is dripping down his forehead. I take a few deep breathes, and look up at the building. Jefferson High, is in big, black letters on the front of the building. Zac looks over at me.

"How are you not exhausted." He says between breaths.

"Uh I run a lot?" I say more like a question, than a statement. Zac raises an eyebrow Before I can say anything, kids start coming off the bus and I spot Cody. He comes off laughing and walks over to us.

"Zac, I can't believe you two crossed that highway!"

"Oh come on Cody, it wasn't that funny." Zac says trying not to smile.

"It was." Zac playfully punches Cody in the arm.

"See you later, Kiera." He says walking off with Cody. I say goodbye and walk off towards the building. Suddenly I stop in my tracks, I had this feeling that someone was watching me. I turn around and run into thousands of kids all running towards the building. It was like a herd of cattle being herded into a small corral. I pushed my way past the all the kids until I got to our bus. The sidewalk was clearing and the buses were starting to leave but one bus stood in my way bus 125. I looked to the left and saw another school. I think it was a middle school. To the right was the school's soccer field. The bus finally moved and I looked into the distance. Maybe I was just being paranoid. I turned around and saw a flash a red. I looked around again and this time saw a red figure running towards the soccer field.

"Hey!" I yell. I swear I saw that red sweatshirt somewhere. Jax. But there was no way, Jax was gone. First I'm watching a red flash go by, the next thing I know I'm chasing it across the field. He's fast, but I'm faster. I turn on the speed, but then he swerves. I almost run into a tree. I have to stop for a second before turning left and sprinting after him. Turning was my weakness. When I was younger Jax, Skye and I would sometimes play tag when the guards weren't looking. I always hated when Skye would run in a straight line and then swerve right. I don't know why but it was always hard for me. I was so lost in my thoughts I almost didn't see the tree that had fallen . I trip over the tree and land face first in the dirt. I pick myself up and see a red line across the back of my hand. I curse silently to myself before continuing to run, but suddenly the red blur stops. Jax turned and faced me, startled. I skidded to a stop next to him, and looked down. A fifty foot drop stood before us.

"Jax, what are you doing." He stares at me confussed.

"Who's Jax?" Suddenly Jax starts to dissapear and the color grey fills my vision. I realise I'm staring at the back of a seat. A gently rocking motion rocks me back and forth. I look to my right and see shops and houses rushing past. I'm on a bus. I pull out my phone and stare at the time, 4:30. Jordan taught me all today's technology. The phones and the new computers, which looked just like a table, but when you tapped it a hologram came up. The backpacks, and all the other inventions. The phones were some kind of flexible glass, that had these things called apps on them. All I knew how to use was the internet so far.

"How did I get here?" I say to myself. The girl sitting next to me gives me an annoyed look. The bus lunches to a stop and someone taps me on the shoulder. Zac is standing behind me.

"This is our stop." He says. I grab my bag and try to shake thoughts from my head. We walk with Cody until we get to our house. I keep going over what happened today, what had Jax meant by none of it's real?

For a long time all we've had in our little society was more dominant animals, but about six years ago we changed the rules. Martin was still with Kiera and Zac at the time, so Nathan decided to change the rules a little. We started letting all morphs into the society. We split the pack into two groups, group A and group B. A were the stronger, more powerful morphs and group B was all the others. I had mad a line, group A in front and B in the back. Everyone in group B had either a bow or a sword, group A only had their abilities.

"Let's go people, we don't have all day." I yelled so everyone could hear. Someone opened the door and some of the morphs flew out the rest of us climbed up the ladder. I waited till everyone got to the top before, announcing my plan.

"We go in, we rescue Martin, Kelly and the kids, then we destroy everyone else!" I yell so everyone can hear. Shouts and hollors go throuh the crowd. I see Nathan standing in the front. He was thinking about Isabelle, I could tell.

"Let's do this." I yell. I pump my fist in the air, and shift into a cheetah to honnor Kiera. I turn towards the setting sun and run. Now I know how Kiera feels when she runs. Now I know what is feels like to be free.
