GUYS.
This is the last chapter... like ever.
Oh my goodness, I still cannot believe it. After two years of writing this story, I finally managed to get it done. I know I'm kind of horrible when it comes to updating on time. I'm just so glad that this story is finally over. It kind of sucks a little that Dean and Ellie are no longer going to be a part of my life. My heart breaks a little :(
But like I said, this is not the end of their story. It's just the beginning. There won't be a sequel to Dean and Ellie but their will be a sequel to Dean and Ellie's... child. I'm not saying whether it's a boy or a girl because that would be a spoiler.
I just want to thank everyone who read this story and gave me feedback because it meant the world to me. I love you all readers. I wouldn't have done it without you guys.
Here you... the final chapter...
Chapter 40: Graduations, Endings & Dean
"Congratulations class of 2014-2015!" The principle yelled through the microphone and we all threw our graduation caps up in the air cheering wildly.
Finally.
We made it till the end of the school year, hoping that there will be no more drama. Dean and I have been through so much this past year and it honestly felt amazing to just let go of the past and think about both of our futures.
Dean was released from the hospital two days ago and he had completely recovered from the trauma of the horrible accident. We were both back to normal and I couldn't be more grateful.
As I cheered in celebration, I looked over at Dean who was a couple of seats away from me and he gave me a small grin then walked over to me. I didn't catch my cap, I just ran and jumped into his arms giving him the biggest hug ever.
"I can't believe we made it this far, Dean" I said, the moment I pulled away slightly. Dean kept a firm grip around me and replied "I can't believe it either. I love you, Ellie."
"Forever and Always, baby" I rose a little and gave him a long kiss. He responded immediately but we had to cut it short because we needed to go see our families.
"Ellie!" I heard my name being called and I turned around searching for the person when I saw Jeremy waving his hands frantically at me. I smiled and walked over to him, dragging Dean with me.
"Jeremy!" I exclaimed and jumped into his arms. He twirled me around a little bit and gave me a kiss on the cheek "I'm so proud of you lil sis"
"Thank you, Jeremy" I grinned and pulled away moving towards the rest of my and Dean's family. My dad showed up to the graduation which was a little bit weird but it meant so much to me. Even though we still didn't see him as much, but he still made sure to be there for us at most times.
After taking a huge amount of pictures, we finally made it to the big dinner where both of our families were gathered. Almost 15 people were seated on a huge table celebrating Dean and I. Last year, I would have never imagined that I would be able to meet all these amazing people and have them become a part of my life.
There was mom, Greg, Carrie, John, my dad and his new wife, Jeremy, Adriana, Jacob, Stella, Liam, Jenna, and Hailey. I couldn't help but let out a very happy sigh at the sight of my family and Dean's family getting along so I got up and decided to give a toast.
I picked up the cup, and stood up clicking on it with a small spoon making everyone around me grow silent as they waited for me to talk.
"I want to thank every single person on this table for coming tonight. I love you all so much and I couldn't have asked for a better family or friends. This year by far has been one hell of a roller coaster. After everything that I've been through, I still wonder how am I not kidnapped by aliens yet." They all let out a small laugh at my silly lame joke. "I have been through so, so much but I know that I wouldn't have made it through without you guys and especially without Dean: my backbone, my everything. He pulled me together. He gave me strength to fight every single time I fall down. He made me see the world differently. And Dean, I promise you, with all my heart, that I will always cherish, love and protect you the way you did me all throughout this year. Forever and Always baby" I smiled at Dean who smiled right back at me "As for all of you here tonight, thank you guys so much for coming. You have made me who I am today, and honestly, I couldn't ask for a better me. Here's to the best family and friends in the world, to the most amazing boyfriend, and finally... to me, for not giving up on myself. Thank you all so much" By the end of my non-practiced speech, I had tears falling down my cheek because I realized how much stronger I became. I realized now that nothing could ever stop me from being who I am.
After the huge dinner we had, we all went back home except for Dean and I. We decided to chill a little down by the beach.
"So... this is it. We made it at last" Dean said, holding my hand in his as he played with my fingers.
I nodded and sighed "We did, Dean"
"Do you remember how it all started?" He asked, grinning a little making his adorable dimples pop out a little.
"How can I forget?" I laughed "You made me bleed"
"Hey! You were the one who ran into me!" Dean said teasingly and I laughed again "True... true. Oh man, how time flew by. One second, I was having a nervous breakdown about my ex-boyfriend and the next thing I know I'm in love with you" I whispered the last part and looked him straight in the eyes "Thank you... for never giving up on me"
He bent down slowly and gave me a sweet, gentle kiss.
"Stop talking about this like it's the end. It's not babe. It's only the beginning" Dean said and I groaned "Only the beginning? Man... can't we start a new beginning where we get rid of hospitals, car accidents, daddy issues, and weird ass diseases and make our new beginning filled with rainbows and happy bunnies and everyone's dancing and we're all just so happy?"
Dean chuckled "I wish, baby. I wish. Life is weird"
"True that..." I rested my head against his chest as we held onto each other, staring at the waves crashing against that shore.
"What do you think is going to happen to us in the future?" I asked him "Where do you think we'd be 10 years from now?"
"Like I said before, with 7 boys and a cute little house" Dean replied sarcastically and I laughed out loud "You idiot, I'm not going to have 7 boys! You know how hard it is to raise 7 children!? Let alone boys!"
"We'll see about that, darling... we'll see" Dean smirked and I pushed him a little making him fall back on the sand.
"Hey!" Dean got up, laughing. I grinned and pulled my tongue out at him like a little girl "You love me"
"It's so sad that I do" He brushed himself properly and grabbed me, pulling me towards him. He slowly bent down and kissed my forehead making my heart flutter like crazy "I love you, so much"
"Forever" I whispered and pecked him lightly as he said the last bit of our unbreakable promise "and Always"
Forever and Always.
