"I know him, I know what happened, I know" I cried staring at my parents and the stranger who was staring at me with sympathy.
"Ellie, calm down. He still didn't say an thing" Dad said, his face filled with worry. I shook my head and cried in even more bringing my knees up on the couch. After I passed out, my dad put me on the couch, they rubbed my face slowly with water and I woke up realizing that the man in the uniform was still here with the bad news.
"JUST STOP!" I screamed pushing dads hand away "IS HE DEAD?" I yelled at the man with the uniform. I remembered the last time he came here and it was when my brother got hurt in Afghanistan.
"Your brother, Jeremy" The man spoke up "He was involved in a terrible air crash that killed all of his colleagues but he survived with severe burns and injuries"
"So he's alive?" I asked, relief flooding me, my eyes filled with happy tears. The man nodded "But he's in a very critical condition, so I came here to tell you that they will be sending him to a hospital here where he will receive the proper treatment. I'm afraid to say that he's currently in a coma and the doctors say he might not wake up"
"What?" I whispered unable to let out another word.
Mom started crying.
"When are they bringing him in?" Dad asked and the dude stood up "He'll be here tonight at 9"
"I am very sorry. We all love Jeremy and we are all praying for him to get better. If you need anything, please, don't hesitate to contact us"
The man walked himself out and closed the door behind him, that's when I lost it.
"YOU DID THIS!" I screamed pointing at my parents who weren't even looking at me. "YOU SENT HIM OFF, YOU DROVE HIM CRAZY HE COULDN'T WAIT TO GET AWAY FROM YOU TWO! I HATE YOU" I cried, tears pouring down my face. I turned around and looked at the small glass vase resting on the coffee table. Without even thinking twice, I shoved it off the table with all the power I could muster and it fell on the floor breaking.
"Ellie!" My dad yelled, standing up "ENOUGH!"
"NO!" I screamed and I picked up a picture frame that had me and my mom when I was younger, around 9, I threw it as hard as I could against the wall and it cracked and fell down littering the floor with shattered glass.
"STOP IT" My mother yelled in tears "DO YOU THINK WE WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN?"
"What if he never wakes up, mom?" I sniffed, calming down a little "What if we had to be the ones to put him out of his misery?"
Mom wailed and buried her face between her palms sobbing loudly. Dad slumped back on the couch tears welling up in his eyes. And then the door knocked. I looked at my dad mentally telling him to answer the door because I was in no shape to talk to someone right now. He understood and stood up with a loud sigh slowly making his way towards the door.
I stared at dad who opened the door slowly and talked to the person that was behind the door. Dad looked back at me and gestured with hand for me to come. I frowned and got up wiping away my tears.
"Dean and Carrie are here" He whispered slowly and I nodded telling him to let them in. Once the door opened fully, Dean barged in engulfing me in a big hug.
"I just heard the screams next door and I immediately called Dean to go check on what's happening, is everything okay?" Carrie asked walking in as Dean let go of me. I shrugged and sucked in a deep breath trying not to start crying again.
Dad started to explain what was happening and I couldn't bear to hear it again so I just pushed Deans hand away from me and went to my room and laid down on my bed.
