Chapter 5: Work, Fights & Dean.

Joe taught us everything about the coffee makers and all the ingredients and recipes in less than three hours, crazy right? She taught Dean how to use the cash register and she showed him around the storage since he'd be working in their as well.

Joe was very friendly and I liked her a lot!

"Now, kids! Your first customer!" The moment Joe said that, the bell rang and in walked Melissa that stupid blonde bimbo. I immediately wanted to take over the cash register so that she wouldn't flirt with Dean.

"Hello and welcome to Kendall's Coffee, what would you like to order?" He asked with big huge smiles.

Melissa, being the whore she is, bent down to look at the menu, showing almost all of her cleavage and Dean, being a boy, gaped.

"One skinny frappe freeze smoothie with whipped cream" She said in the most seductive voice.

Dean typed on the cash register "Anything else?"

Melissa looked at her other bimbo friend and turned back to Dean "Fruit Smoothie, please"

Dean looked at me and I groaned internally, time to work.

"Oh! Ellie! I haven't seen you here before!" Melissa said gasping in surprise. I rolled my eyes "I started today"

"I love this place! I'll be seeing you here a lot then" She smirked and started giggling with her friend.

When I was done with their smoothies, I placed them on a tray and on the counter "Here you go"

"How's Kyle, by the way? I missed that cutie pie! I still can't believe he dumped you. Eh, nobody liked you anyways" She said that and I tensed, glaring at her. Dean looked at the both of us as the tension grew.

"I'm your customer, you should smile at me" She said sternly. I faked a smile and walked away from her. Wow. What a brat.

Melissa paid and took a table next to the window. She kept on giggling loudly and looking at me. What is she trying to accomplish?

"Who's Kyle?" Dean asked out of nowhere.

I'm going to tell him eventually, why not now? I'm not telling him everything, just the highlights.

"Ex-boyfriend" I replied "Cheated on me, dumped me" I shrugged and pretended to arrange the cups.

Dean muttered something that I didn't quite catch, I was about to ask him what did he say when the bell rang and another customer walked in.

Sigh.

"You did a great job!" Joe smiled at the both of us "Here's your time table, Ellie and Dean you both have night shifts from 7 pm till closing time which is about 11 pm. I'm giving you guys the key to this place so that you'll be able to lock up and leave. I don't want you to be late."

We both nodded taking off our aprons and handing them to Joe. She smiled at the both of us "I'll close up today, tomorrow; you guys figure it out, alright?"

"No worries" Said Dean making his way towards the door. I followed him biding adios to Joe as we both made our way outside to the hot summer weather.

Dean turned to look at me with a huge smile "summer is going pretty well!"

I nodded. I lied. This is definitely one of the worst summer vacations ever. Last summer, I went to my grandparents in England. Now, that was the best summer ever. Away from home. Away from my parents and those annoying school kids.

The only thing that's making this summer a bit good is Dean and Jeremy. They're seriously the best.

Dean got me to forget all about Kyle. He was really funny and amazingly nice. And I just liked him a lot.
