Chapter 33: Birthday, Presents & Dean.

20th of January.

The date that I have been thinking about ever since I got out of the hospital. School was pretty much the same with the same annoying people. Kyle called me once while I was in bed rest and apologized for his irrational behavior and asked me about the surgery and whatnot. In school, he barely talked to me since Dean was around. Anyways, I was now inside the mall searching for a gift for Dean. I called Jenna up and asked her what to get him and all she said was "Honey, the greatest gift to give your boyfriend is birthday sex. So stop freaking out about it, get some sexy lingerie and get it down with him" So, obviously, I did not take her advice. I have been in this mall for 2 hours straight and so far the only thing that I've found worth buying is a pair of shoes and I'm sure Dean wouldn't want that.

20th of January.

Dean's birthday.

Which was in 2 days and I had absolutely no idea what to get him.

I went on google the previous night and typed in "What to get your boyfriend on his birthday" and all I found were some cliche gifts that I hated.

I asked mom and she just shrugged.

I asked Carrie, she laughed, shrugged as well and left me alone.

I ended up asking Hailey as well who told me to get him socks since apparently his socks always smell. I laughed for a while but then frowned because I still had no clue what to get him.

Carrie and I already worked on his surprise birthday party and invited everyone he knew. We even asked Liam and Jenna to come but they apologized and said that they won't make it. It was completely fine with me, we already saw them a while back so it doesn't really matter.

And so I continued my journey looking for something to get Dean when I stopped in front of this cool place called Crazy Box and let me tell ya, everything in there was completely crazy. I went inside and started looking around for some stuff when I saw a blue shiny box and next to it it had some birthday cards. On one birthday card it had the number 18. Just like that, I had the greatest gift idea ever.

I bought the box and left the shop.

Time to get the rest of the stuff.

I got home around 8:30 and I have been out since 3, the moment I got back from school. I said a quick hello to my mother and hurried upstairs to fix the gift. I'm really hoping that he likes them.

Around 11 pm, I was pretty much exhausted and I just went to sleep texting Dean goodnight and apologizing for not talking to him all day claiming that I was busy with the homework I missed. He didn't suspect a thing but he decided to call me up.

"Everything alright?" He asked once I picked up the phone.

"Everythings fine, baby" I grinned "How was your day without me?" I giggled and waited for a response.

He chuckled "It was horrible! Don't you ever disappear like that again, I was so lonely and miserable"

"It's sad that your whole life revolves around me" I said jokingly and he burst out laughing "You suck"

"And you swallow"

He started laughing again "I never knew you were funny, Ellie"

"Yeah, yeah" I giggled "Well, I missed you even more Dean"

"Glad to hear that babe, plans for tomorrow?" He asked and from then the conversation took off for an hour until I was no longer able to utter a word.

"Sleepy?" He asked softly.

"Mhm" I mumbled, my eyes were closed and I was all covered under the bed and cozy. Earphones plugged in and my hands circling one of my teddy bears.
