Chapter 6: Dean, Dean & Dean.

Deans POV

"Mom! I'm home!" I called out and threw myself on the couch with a loud happy sigh. Being with Ellie always made me happy. She's beautiful, smart, sweet and she's broken. I could tell from the look on her face from the day I met her. Something is bothering her. I'm not going to push her into telling me, I know she will tell me eventually. I hope.

"Dean!" Hailey squealed running towards me holding a small pink bag "Look at what mommy got me!"

I smiled at how excited she was "What'd she get you, bubbly?"

Bubbly was her nickname since she was always excited and cheerful and happy all the time. I love my sister to death and I would do anything to protect her from this world.

"Look!" She giggly opened her bag and pulled out 2 coloring book and a pencil case "It's Cinderella!" She pointed at the book and I laughed "Yes! Oh my God!" I mimicked her excitement and she frowned. I chuckled and pulled her closer to me giving her a hug "I love you, Hails"

"I know" She flipped her hair "I love you too, Deanie" She giggled and I scowled "Don't call me that!"

"Mommy does" She shrugged innocently "Deanie"

"Hailey"

"Deanie"

"You better run" I raised my eyebrows at her and she gasped dramatically "Mommy!"

"Mommy" I mimicked making weird faces and she giggled "bye Deanie!" and with that she took off squealing like an idiot. I smiled at my sister and turned back to the TV.

Mom came a while later and sat next to me frowning. Her eyes were glistening with tears and she was fiddling angrily with her fingers.

"Mom?" I sat up and scooted closer to her. She looked at me and I felt my heart break into million pieces. I couldn't stand seeing her cry.

"Your dad called" She chocked tears spilling down her cheek. I clenched my fists angrily "What does he want?"

"He apologized and he wants me to forgive him" She started sobbing and I immediately brought her into my arms "Mom, what he did to you is unforgivable."

"I know" She whispered and pulled away wiping her tears "I just want a fresh new start but he keeps on calling and trying to come into our lives again"

I'll kill him if he even tried to come close to mom or Hailey. What he did to us was just wrong. He hurt us all, emotionally and physically. Da- I mean, Brandon, started hitting mom and abusing her with words. I used to hear them fight everyday but I couldn't stop them. I used to see mom with a new bruise every night and she comes up with an excuse every single fucking time. That’s when it had to stop. He tried to hit Hailey once and mom just packed our things and we were out of there. Mom's brother, Uncle Harold, helped us find a house here and helped mom get a job at some restaurant. I'm grateful for Uncle Harold. Without him, we wouldn't have known what to do.

"I love you, mom" I kissed her cheek and she smiled "I love you too, Dean"

I got up after I made sure mom was okay and walked to my bedroom with the thought of Ellie swimming in my head. I smiled to myself closing the door behind me. I took off my shirt and my pants and grabbed my phone checking my messages. I had one new message. I opened it and saw that it was from Jenna, my best friend.

'Yo, Dean! How's it going? I miss you so, so much! Italy is great by the way. The guys here are smoking hot!' I smiled at the text, I missed Jenna as well. I decided to text back 'Yo! I miss you too! I'm still expecting you to come here after Italy, got it?'
