Chapter 25: Christmas, Friends & Dean.

So, since I'm Muslim, we don't really celebrate Christmas. I hope that's what you guys do on Christmas night!

"Hailey, Hailey, Hailey" I mumbled under my breath as I glanced around the toy store. I groaned, why is this so hard?

"Hello, welcome to Toys R Us! Do you need any help?" A boy around my age stood in front of me with a board smile on his face and I nodded "Yes, please! I'm looking for a Christmas present for a 4 year old girl? What the hell do they like these days?"

He chuckled at my frustration and gestured for me to follow him and I did when we arrived to a section filled with girly, girly toys.

"Well, these set of barbies just arrived yesterday and everyone's been buying them so i bet she'll be looking forward for them as well.. and you can buy her also the build a toy one or whatever it's called or you can get her the barbie doll house if you don't mind spending a lot on her" He said pointing to every single toy.

"I'll take the doll house and one of these blonde barbies, she'll be ecstatic" I smiled and he nodded grabbing the huge box from the rack and the small box with the barbie inside it "Can you wrap it up for me, please?"

"Sure" He smiled and we made our way to the cash register where there was a huge line of people.

God, I hate Christmas shopping.

"Hey, come with me" The boy said and I followed him to an empty cash register with a huge 'Closed' sign on it. "I'm doing this only for you" he winked and I smiled "Thank you, standing in line is my least favorite thing to do"

"I finish my shift in 15 minutes, how about I take you out for a drink?" he suddenly asked and I bit my lip grimacing "Uhm, I have a boyfriend"

"Oh" he sighed "Well, at least I tried"

"Sorry, you seem like a nice boy though!" I tried to lighten up the mood but he shook his head chuckling "it's fine, here you go" he handed me the sacks after I paid "Come back again!" He yelled back and I smiled waving a small goodbye before hurrying out of the store. I hate rejecting people.

I felt a little guilty when I exited the shop but it immediately faded away when I entered the book store, I looked around for the book that I wanted and finally found it, bought it then went back outside.

I stayed there for another hour gathering up the gifts and when i was finally done, I went back home and hid them all in my closet and started working on Dean's gift. I really hope he likes it.

"Honey! Come downstairs!" Mom yelled and I dropped the scissor on the bed and hurried downstairs to the living room to find mom standing next to a Christmas tree covered in ornaments and lights. I grinned.

"I love it!"

She smiled and stared back at her masterpiece "It really is lovely"

"Alright so tomorrow I want you to be up early so you can help me cook for the dinner, alright?" Mom said and I nodded. Tomorrow night we were inviting Dean, his mother and her boyfriend that Dean grew to like over the past few month and of course, Hailey. Jenna and Liam were coming over as well! They'll be arriving today around 11 pm and Dean was going to go pick them up from the airport.

"Oh uhm and Greg is coming over for the dinner as well" Mom said awkwardly because she knew how much I disliked Greg. I don't think he'll be a bother with Dean by my side, i won't be even paying attention to him.

"Okay" I nodded. And she smiled gratefully "Be on your best behavior alright?"

"Mother when am I not on my best behavior?" I laughed and she smiled again "Go back to your room"
