Niall's P.O.V

"I'm Melissa." Hmmm. It suits her. "Nice name. You look like a Melissa." Wow. Good one Niall. 'You look like a Melissa' Really? Of all the things I could've said. "Uh? Thanks?" She replied unsurely. Face fucking palm. Well yeah. I didn't give her much to work with did I? "You don't really look like a Niall." She added. "Oh really?" "You look more like a Caden to me." I can't tell if she's joking or not because of the way she speaks. That accent has me captivated. She looks like a daddy's little princess. Like she gets anything and everything she wants whenever she wants it. "A Caden? Really?" "Yeah. Hundred percent." She said with a bright smile. I can already tell that we're gonna get along.

So, from what I've learnt so far, Melissa was born and raised in Sydney but her parents moved last year because her grandfather died. She doesn't go to school. She doesn't live with her parents. Which I find very interesting. She got out of a somewhat messy relationship last year and hasn't been in the dating game since.
I haven't told her much about me. I just met her bum not going to tell her how my best friend got my fiancé pregnant. Even though she shared a lot with me; I just don't think I'm ready to let all that out yet.

"So, I have this family gathering thing coming up next week and I sort of need a..." I trailed on hoping that she'd get it. "A date?" She asked as her entire being perked up. At this point, I can only hope that I don't look too thirsty. "Only if you want to. I mean-" I didn't even get everything in before she cut me off. "I'd love to." She smiled with those huge prominent hazel eyes.

I get a different feeling when I'm talking to her. I'm not sure what it is. It feels like I'm walking on eggshells but it's also exhilarating at the same time.

We were both free for the afternoon so we decided to head off and do something time consuming and also get to know each other a little better.

She said that she had to pick up some stuff at the mall so here I was. Standing in front of one of the department stores that I had dared not to go into. I didn't want to be following her around like an idiot, plus, she said that she'd only be a while so I'm fine with waiting. Better than staying at home and moping isn't it?

I tilted my head upward, only to be met with a huge sign that read Forever 21. That explains the heaps of tourists with countless bags in their hands while exiting the store.

I lower my head once more, however my SnapBack-clad hair got in the way of my vision. As I repositioned it, my eyes landed on what I came here to avoid in the first place. Low and behold. Look who it is. My ex fiancé and my ex best friend walking together, footsteps in sync with their fingers interlocked and each holding smoothies in their free hands. There see to be many exes showing up today. Then again I am considered as her ex fiancé and his ex best friend as well so I can only imagine their expressions when our eyes connect. And I'm about to find out.

Harry was the one who saw me first and he quickly averted his gaze and nudged Sapphire slightly. She looked up at him with questioning eyes as he mumbled something into her ear. That's when those gorgeous eyes met mine for what felt like the first time in years, making me forget the purpose of me being here. For shit's sake, making me forget my own name at this point.

Sapphire's P.O.V.

"Are you ready?" I asked Harry as we stopped to get smoothies. That's the only reason we were here anyway. We were casually chilling at home when I felt the sudden urge for some smooth strawberry liquid gliding down my throat.

Kacey called me earlier today and told us to come over to her house at 3. I'm assuming it's for the big reveal. The sex of our tiny creation. 23 chromozones from both Harry and myself. Excited would be an understatement to what I'm feeling right now. Mixed emotions I would call it.
