VIII. The Elder

"It's nice seeing you, Uchiha." A deep voice of what seems to be a middle aged man spoke back that sent shivers on my spine.

Uchiha?

Are they refering to him? Sakura asked curiously in her mind as if gathering each puzzle piece of information for this man.

"What is this? A gift?" The man said suddenly as he looked over the shivering woman behind the Uchiha's back who stood closely and head faced down behind him. Her hair illuminated brightly by the morning, it wasn't something you would just pass your eyes unto and never look back. It's too bad though, she woud've been good as a sex slave, the perverted man thought.

Yet there was something odd about the aura flowing over her, it wasn't normal, and that is something he needed to know.

"She is not for you, nor is she a gift to anyone. She is under my possession." Uchiha said, irritated with the man who can't keep his nose under his business.

"Orochimaru is not present, we've been waiting for him as well." He said bluntly, getting the point of the Uchiha and wasn't definitely happy about his arrogance and selfishness for the interesting prey he had caught.

Sakura listened closely to the man-to-man conversation. Word per word. She was afraid she might miss an information about an important thing or something she'll find useful when she gets out, much more, any information relating to Kyoto.

A shiver crossed her spine, startling the cotton candy colored hair Sakura and  causing her to look up and see toward its direction when she felt a sudden grip on her arm.

It was a cloaked ragged old woman with strands of grey hair and had her eyes close when she mumbled, "I see great power runs within you that you are not aware of, young lady."

"I-I think you are mistaking me for someone else," Sakura said nervously, carefully noticing the eyes of the woman who opened it, revealing a thin white cover on her pupils.

She was blind.

The Uchiha saw and heard it clearly. The blind old woman had spoken about his prey. Confirming most of his accusations that this woman had something on her. She was no ordinary female. But what is her power? What is her ability that makes her special? He thought.

"I am not mistaken, you are special." The old woman answered as she felt the great aura revolving around the lady she held. It was a nostalgic and familiar aura. She had never felt it for years.

"I - uh - is there any way you could help me get to Kyoto?" Sakura said, desperately taking the chance, in case this woman had had any ideas. Yet instead..

"I'm afraid there is no way out.. for now. I must leave, it is nice meeting you." The old woman whispered as she turned around and walked away slowly.

"A Kitsune is not a bad pet as well, not your usual beasts." she mumbled before her whole body had vanished in thin air.

Sakura wouldn't believe her, but was the old woman familiar with Kyoto? What does she mean by no way out for now? Sakura refused to believe her, yet the fact that she was blind and knew she hid a Kitsune, was enough proof that she wasn't just crazy.

The Uchiha always knew that the old woman wasn't crazy. In fact, he knew some great power runs in her veins. Yet he never expected that this woman would've caught her attention and release words new to the ears.

He had half expected to meet Orochimaru here who would've known her worth.

"FUCKER!" One shout from a far had suddenly raged. Sakura couldn't help but look at the direction of the voice, sighting a man who looked like a body builder with bunch of weird-looking gangs behind.

"Where have you been, master?" He said mockingly, directing the sentence to the Uchiha who had been standing beside the pink haired woman.

"I knew you'll come here,"

"About time too." The Uchiha smirked, crackling his fingers as he formed his fists.

"Heard from the elder about a Kitsune being a pet. Care to tell?" Another man from the crowd of its gang chuckled madly.
"A Kitsune? The legendary fox? Hah!" The other snorted. "You'll have to die first before you have them beasts for ya pets!"

Sakura cocked her head sideway, and somehow felt special for having one snoozing Kitsune on her backpack if this is how people had known these fox for beasts. Snow had been fluffy and cute, how could she be vicious? Sakura asked her confused mind.

"Well what do we have here," The tallest and biggest and hunkiest man, whom was it seems as the leader of the group, had studied the white-skin lady that had her cotton-colored hair flew by the direction of the winds beautifully as she illuminated by the crowd. Sakura did not like the looks he had given, as if he was already undressing her in his perverted mind.
"Man how I'd love to see this woman's expression when she feels the pleas-"

"I am NOT a sex slave!" Sakura raged, cutting off the dirty words being spoken by the savage man with things she never thought she would imagine. Suddenly losing her temper while being surrounded by deadly people was not a good idea at all, she thought, but she was not to be thought of that way, she was offended.

"Why this little bitch, you dare-" a man forwarded yet was suddenly gestured to stop by the leader with one swing of his palm.

"Dominant. I like that." The leader growled.

"Too bad she belongs to me." The Uchiha smirked, taking a sudden grip on the waist of the woman and swiftly left the place by vanishing in one place and appearing to another.

Sakura couldn't explain the feeling. It was as if she got dizzy, closed her eyes and reappeared to a different place.

Did she just vanish with him?

Sakura got a little dizzy as an after shock of the vanish-in-thin-air and pushed the Uchiha the moment she felt her feet on the grass. "Don't you... do that again." She said, placing a palm on the other side of her head, trying to stop the ache as she dropped on her knees and sat on the ground.

A sound of whimpering and unzipping had taken notice as Snow's head popped out of the bag and jumped off to Sakura who had immediately felt better with the look on her baby fox's cuteness.

But people definitely had reasons why they are claiming it's a danger, which Sakura had failed to see.

"S-so, your name is Uchiha?" She petted Snow as she directed to the man who had been looking at her since.
"They call me that."
"Why?" Sakura blurted, and noticed the tone of her voice right away and adjusted it to a less-interested kind. "I mean, why?"

"None of your business." He arrogantly said as he crossed his arms, a bit irritated for her endless questions.
"Well, can you at least help me why, me, out of all villagers here, alone could touch a Kitsune? Or at least the first person to think we're not gonna be eaten alive."
"Then you must be crazy," He smirked.
"I'm trying to be serious. And then this man had called you master or something. Is it true?"

His eyebrow and a side curve of his lip had lifted a little for she had taken note even of the little things on the conversation.

She was interesting enough to be figured out.
