XVII. Connected

The first thing she remembered;
The pair of red bloody eyes staring at her.
The strong ironic scent of blood.
The firm grip on her hip as she was pulled unto his; and the weak feeling on her body as she lay unconsciously on the cold hard ground. The image was in a blur and she felt as if she was drugged that very moment his lips touched her skin..

His lips..

And then her eyes flew open, bolting up from lying, she remembered everything.

The bite, the ache in her nape, and the attempt she did to help him with his eyes.
What did she ever do to him to deserve this?

It took a moment for her to assess the surroundings and it came out as a pretty shock for the pinkette. She was in a plain old-fashioned studio room, and she was lying in a bed, Snow sleeping at her feet. Where am I? She thought and could only hope for someone to answer. She was alone without his presence.

Hurriedly she bolted up at her feet and panic came to her for thinking she was locked from the outside, yet, the door knob turned and she was free to go out as easily as possible.

"Oh, good morning!" The pinkette got startled. Someone greeted with a big smile on her face, hazel nut eyes and two brown hair buns on either side of her head.
"Sorry for startling you. Your husband went out a while ago," She explained after seeing the pinkette who seemed to look confused and in a daylight daze. The brunette did remember that she was completely passed out when they came in. "I'm Tenten by the way, my parents are caretakers of this rental houses."

Wait, what? Husband?
Rental houses? What?
Did he.... sell me?

"I-I'm Sakura," She forced herself to say despite the dry feeling in her throat. She could barely assess what was happening.
A small gentle thud from the ground cutted their introduction and both looked over the direction where it came from.

There he was, still in his black mask, his obsidian piercing through her jade ones.
"Ah, there he is. See you around then, Sakura." The brunette mumbled and took her way out, obviously intimidated with him.

"What is she talking about?" She questioned yet was ignored completely as the Uchiha walked pass her towards the room. Yet, she tried again nevertheless.
"Hey. What is she-"

"It can't be helped." He said finally after entering the house and sitting at edge of the small dining table, gritting his teeth.
"What is?" Still she wasn't being answered to.

"People from now on will mistake us for being married." He said in nonchalance as if it meant nothing. Somehow it didn't surprise the pinkette. She realized, he was on the same roof as she was, of course people here will think they were married since they were living together, yet she hopes it won't take long. Sooner or later she'll have to leave him, she doesn't know how, but she will.

With no further ado, Sakura had spent the few hours of fixing her backpack. She still had her canned food, her first aid kit and some hygienic items. She was really glad she went to the groceries before everything came out of hand. As for the Uchiha, he had left her once again, but she didn't mind. More time for her to plan her escape in this hell she lived in.

"Hi, Sakura." The brunette got startled after noticing the presence of the pinkette behind her who was strolling around for familiarization of the place. It was really old-fashioned. Sooner or later she'll complete her theory about this place: Probably hidden underneath Kyoto, a place where modernization failed to conquer or a place no one knew existed.
"Oh, Tenten, right?" The cherry blossom remembered their first encounter after snapping.
