XXXII. Unforgettable

Her apartment was a complete mess.

She was a complete mess.

What has gotten into her that made her stop from cleaning regularly?

Sakura, you can't slack off just because you passed the exams! She scolds herself as she started to pick up the mess on her apartment and about to do her laundry.

It has been exactly 2 days ago after that one weird evening. She woke up from her bed, like she normally used to, but only felt different. The pinkette did not linger much on the thought as she saw the open envelope on top of her bedside table. Then she just wondered, how come she wasn't working on a hospital right away? She always wanted it. She already has the ticket.

And it has been weeks since the exam. She was seriously slacking off.

Sakura felt different and felt weird. Very. Even now. It was as if a part of her memories were missing since the exam. Was it because of it? Did she have a mental breakdown afterwards? It wasn't impossible. The pinkette shook her head and tried to focus on the now. And now is doing laundry.

As she separates the white clothes, she started thinking of her plans for this week. Priority number 1 is her application for the hospital. Number 2 is actually catching up with Ino since it felt like forever since she last saw her. Number 3 is.... what else?

An unfamiliar black shirt was left on her laundry basket. She never recalled buying one for herself. The pinkette held it on her hand, checking its size, and it was bigger than her. Perhaps it belongs to someone else. But how could she have it on her apartment?

Sakura sniffed the shirt and surprisingly, it smelled a lot like a man. A combination of divine-like aroma and sweat. She decided to exclude it from all her laundry. There is still hope in finding out who owns it. Ino.

"What a pleasant suprise. Hello, stranger." Ino crossed her arms on her chest, looking at the pinkette with her not-very-happy face.

"What the eff happened to you? I was beginning to worry!" Ino hissed as she hugged her friend tightly. "You could've been washed away from the river again."

"Again?" Sakura probed.
"Yeah, again. Duh." The blonde rolled her eyes as she held her and dragged her to her room. Sakura gave her the I-don't-get-it smile.
"Sakura, I don't know if you're just high or something but hello, you have been washed up in the river, lost for more than 24 hours and ta-dah we found you."

"You're joking." Sakura fake laughed.
"No." Ino narrowed her eyes at the pinkette. "Are you okay?"

"I-.." Sakura smiled but still couldn't remember, "I'm just messing with you. I do remember."
"I swear I am going to get you one day."
"Sorry sassy pants. So.... that night.. I didn't happen to be with someone, right?"

"No," Ino chewed a piece of biscuit with chocolate filling.
"I see..... Ino, are you snacking in the middle of your meals??" She pointed out. What she does remember is Ino reminding her to control what she eats.
"So?" Ino asked, her eyebrows knitted.
"Don't you blame me if I call you pig again." The pinkette said in nonchalance.
