XXI. Present

Sakura woke up quite early that morning due to the constant shifting of someone inside her room.
"Goodmorning Ms. Haruno. It's time for your check up." The doctor said, who looked very much young for his profession. There was a bit of envy from the pinkette. After a round of vital checks and scribbling it all down on his notepad, he sighed noticing the tubeless arm of the cherry blossom. "You can't just pull this off without our consent, Ms. Haruno." Gently he said, but disapprovingly handing out the tube meant for the dextrose. Sakura bit her lip and shrugged, unable to explain. "Don't worry, I won't tell the nurses." He whispered in a low voice, making her chuckle and beating the tension right away.

For a medical student doing such behavior, it would not be a good impression so she won't bother telling that she was one and start off a conversation with him.
"Well, your condition's stable, you look pretty healthy to me. Now you keep yourself safe. I'll approve your discharge. Good day, Ms. Sakura." For the first time, he smiled, and Sakura was very glad he didn't do that when he was checking her heartbeat with his stetoscope.
"Good day and thank you too, doctor...?"
"Hideki." The doctor continued as he smiled before he shutted the door.

"What are you blushing for?" Sakura jumped out of the unwelcome surprise. The raven stood beside the window side, his arms crossed, and his body leaning on the cold hard wall with his katana back. God knows how he managed to escape with that deadly weapon of his.

"I'm not." She gritted, rolling her eyes together with it. After a while, Sakura noticed a small bag on her bedside, which she recognized immediately as Ino's. Upon opening, she had her own pair of shirt and short to change into, thankfully. Ino didn't have a duplicate key of her apartment for nothing. Quickly she changed into it and fixed the hospital bed before she leaves, even though she wasn't responsible for that, or she didn't have to.

"I'll meet you at the river." The Uchiha muttered sheepishly.
"How do you suppose to get out without paying?" Sakura said, popping the question to the raven, clearly because if he did have money, it won't be the same currency, yet she doubts he does have money of whatever currency.
"River, Sakura." He repeated right before he poofed out of the place.
The pinkette's jaw dropped. "You can't just leave." She followed up, even though she knew she was now alone in the room.

Sakura felt thankful and lucky because the Yamanaka's had paid her hospital bill as a gift for her licensure achievement, although- the guilt will haunt her forever if she leaves without paying for the bill of that asshole, knowing he just left without doing so. You know what she means.

"Excuse me," She announced at the front desk right by the exit. "I'm Haruno Sakura from room 304," She started. "I'm approved for discharge by Doctor Hideki, and I got no time to wait for my friend to fetch me so...."
"Ah yes," The nurse recognized her after a second. "You have been paid in full, you're free to go."
"Yes, about that, well, about room 310. The black hair guy."
The nurse had all her ears on her. "Have you seen him? He was reported missing this morning."
"I.. honestly.. I don't know.. but I heard he was gone, and due to certain circumstances, I was with him before I got here, so, I'll pay for his bills instead."
"Oh, well, Ms. Haruno, thank you for that, but he's already paid for." The nurse with a tag name of Rika was browsing on her computer, checking the history of the said man.
"By whom?"
"Courtesy of the hospital."

The pinkette did not probe any longer, she was fine with it. It was far better than losing her rent money. The sun was bright and the day was wonderful outside the hospital, thankful that it wasn't as gloomy as she last remembered it. The city was busy like always. Business man and woman carrying their cases and students gathered in groups and having chitchats. How the Uchiha had passed this big crowd? It will remain a mystery to her. She only hoped that no one will find him suspicious. Sure, a man in black, covered in mask and a deadly weapon on his back. No one will find that suspicious. She rolled her eyes at her inner self.
