XXXVIII. Forever

There was no time to take a rest.

Not even a second.

The explosions were non-stop and each one louder than the other. The violent noises faded little and little as the masked raven man carried the pinkette farther and farther from it.

She was lost at words. Sakura didn't know what to say even though she had been longing to see him again and to say things she didn't know she would ever come to say. Yet.. "Sa..Sasuke.." She couldn't hear her own voice as it drowned with the wind as they passed through it, but it was loud enough for the raven to stop at his tracks.

She does remember.

He stopped and pulled her behind the tree, pinning her on it. This wasn't planned. This wasn't supposed to happen. He made her forget everything about this world, about him and everything else she had nothing to do with. How could she possibly remember?

"You remember?" He whispered, catching his breath.
"I.. I do. All of it. Why did you do that? You're so unfair!" The pinkette cried and covered her wet eyes with her palms, still not wanting to make eye contact.
"Sakura." She looked at him at the mere sound of her name from his mouth, his face was blank but his obsidian eyes were in pain. "I need you to forget all of this."
"Even you? You're asking me to forget even you?"
"Especially me." Sasuke said firmly, without a doubt. He was trouble and so was she. Deep inside, he just want her to be safe and sound, back to her world, none of these in her mind, and that's alright if it meant not being remembered. Once this is done, the two of them will be back to the way it was before they met.

"Look, Sasuke, I'm sorry if I messed up your plan. I'm sorry if you didn't want me to go back here. But.. leaving me there, wiping out my memories, it was unfair! It kept bothering me the moment I woke up. All I knew was that something was missing. You were missing and I didn't know it until I saw your mark on me and everything just came back in a flash." Sakura bit her lip, she didn't know where she was going with this. But this moment was all it. Isn't this why she came back here? To see him again? To tell him how she really feels?

"I...I lov-"

"No."

What?

"This wasn't supposed to happen, Sakura. You shouldn't have come back."
"I wanted to see you again, Sasuke."

"It's a mistake. You should've just forgotten me, Sakura."
"Sasuke, just listen to m-"
"Enough!!" The raven's eyes were back in its bloody red color. The emotions were too much. This is why love or any sort of feelings to any women were forbidded. He was warned by his brother, how did he miss this? When did he let his guard down?

"You made me forget but I couldn't. How can I not look for you?? Fine, Sasuke. Why don't you dump me so I could just move on? You could've just told me you didn't want me!" Sakura screamed at the top of her lungs, she didn't care now if the enemies find their whereabouts. She didn't care. When she was kidnapped, all she thought was Sasuke's well being. And what does she get in return? This? So who cares now?

"Is that what this is all about??? You wanting me to say fuck off? You wanting me to say I don't fucking want you? Then fuck. I don't fucking want you!" He said it. He really said it. Sakura was startled. Her eyes were wide in shock and her lips quivered. The pinkette forced herself not to shed a tear. She bit her lip and held her own arms, as if hugging herself. She looked down, and she was now calm. No more fighting this, Sakura.
