XIV. Across
He had liked it.
She was no longer complaining, no longer talking back. She was quiet like he was, tongue curled up inside, refusing to make of use unless it was a matter between life & death, she thought desperately. The pinkette admits she didn't like what he did, showing off his face out of the blue without her knowing what he'll do next, but what was more confusing was that she really didn't hate it too. Somehow it had changed the way she looks at him now and it irritates her to think about that.
Yes, he may be handsome, and not just the old black masked man. He looked much more arrogant than before too, unfortunately. Sakura wants to ask where they were headed but she was having hesitations, he haven't setted any rules after all, how was she supposed to know what to do and what not to do? She had the urge to complain but she didn't want anymore trouble for herself. Being lost in a foreign place with a monster for a companion is enough to sum it all up.
The cherry blossom followed the steps of the black raven wherever he went without a single word spoken, she may look calm, but her inner flames grew stronger for the man. Sadly, she can't do anything about it. For a quick stop, the Uchiha had took the tree top for refugee while Sakura rested herself by its trunk. It was only 'til then she realized she haven't eaten with the help of her audible grouching stomach.
"Ugh, I'm hungry," She said to Snow while he wagged his tails, agreeing if that's what it meant. Scanning her backpack for something, she found her personal favorite of corned tuna in an easy-to-open can. It would've been better if there was rice too, but heck, she was already thankful."Here, taste this," Snow wagged his tails and waited for her hand to lower in his reach, slowly he smelled the fish the pinkette held and didn't have second thoughts on eating and licking the remains on the cherry blossom's fingertips. "It's my favorite, too." Sakura smiled, taking notice of the excitement and happiness of the white furball upon tasting the food she believed he had never tasted yet. Taking her disposable spork, she took a spoonful of it. "Oishiiii~" She moaned under her mouthful. "Do you want to try this?" The pinkette asked, this time, to the resting Uchiha at the tree top which he quickly responded with a "Hng." Not like she wanted to give him some, but she didn't want to be rude.
On the process of assessing if that meant yes or a no, Sakura had took notice of a presence of an animal approaching then closely. Snow had growled to send him away, but the cherry blossom had looked at it with amusement and great curiousity. It was surprisingly cute and weird. It had a body of a guinea pig with a size of an average dog with long hairless tail like of a white mice. Sakura had invited it with a piece of tuna in her hand, urging it to come closer.
"Don't move," The Uchiha had finally said. Thinking it was unreasonable, the pinkette looked up at him, "What for?" In a matter of seconds he had thrown his sword he had on his back towards the pinkette, giving her a shock. It didn't hit her to death, but looking in front, his sword was impaled on the ground piercing right in the head of the unknown creature Sakura was looking seconds earlier. Its head was mere inches from her hand, this time, unlike earlier, it had its fangs bared and it was big enough to chop her hand off. Snow growled angrily at the lifeless beast while the cherry blossom was almost eaten alive once again.
"Pests. It was more interested in your flesh than your fish." He stooped down from the tree, pulling his sword from its place and wiping the dripping blood to the brown fur of the beast."You could've told me earlier..." She couldn't resist answering, but at least she managed to sound calm, she complimented herself. Sakura hated it when as if he expects him to know everything about the place. It was her first time encountering that animal after all.
"Stop welcoming everything in open arms. First, that fucking boy and second, this. Your trust will lead you to your death, woman.""I'm sorry if I trust so much, but I still learn from my mistakes you know. Good news to you because I never trusted you. Not ever." The cherry blossom couldn't contain her temper's rage. He was getting on every nerve of her body, she never thought she'd hate a man as much as this one.
"I never ask you to. I don't care if you don't trust my judgment, you are required to follow my orders." The Uchiha, like the raging cherry blossom, had been irritated once more. Wondering if this trouble with this woman was worth it.
"Why don't you just go on with it and take advantage of me? How long will that take?" She sassed back.
"Soon enough."Unable to contain herself, "What is it about me that everyone is going crazy about? Am I that special or something? Just so you guys know, not even once did I encounter any supernatural things, I didn't poof here and there-"
One second she was blabbering about her feelings, not a second later she felt the cold and firm hands who held her wrists behind her back while the other wrapped quite tightly around her neck, making her tilt her head. How it happened? She wasn't sure. She was so fed up with the extraordinary things that was happening around her like she might have already been hallucinating herself to death. Sakura felt the body behind her back, it was muscular, a man with a weird intoxicating scent. She looked in front, sighting the eyes as wild as the wolves, with blood red colored orbs.
He was positioned to fight with his sword already drawn. He had felt someone had been following them. The pest earlier that had attacked the cherry blossom is quite rare in the forest, it wasn't something you'd normally get across. Someone had brought it here.
One thing's for sure.
He wasn't as stupid as this fucker thinks.
"Yes, you are indeed very special, my sweet dear," The man behind the pinkette whispered closely behind her left ear, sending shivers that was running rapidly in her slim body. "But you have to prove yourself first," His rasp voice screeching in the head of the cherry blossom who thought better than to escape from his grasp.
"H-how?" Sakura asked calmly. If they believe she was the special one, she had to act like one. It was no use in talking to them, she thought disapprovingly.
"Figure it out, woman," Leaning closely to the shivering frame of the pinkette, the man behind took a good view on this woman they were required to capture. She was an innocent looking woman with skin as white as the first fallen snowflake, and he couldn't wait to drip it with blood, ruining its purity and innocence, just like all the women he bought. They were once a blooming and untouched flower too, and it was an extraordinary feeling for him to ruin each and every single one of them. He couldn't wait to ruin this one.
"Please don't" She heaved and mumbled, feeling the arms wrapped around her neck was slowly pacing to her chest with his cold fingertips tracing her bare skin on her shoulders. She struggled to keep her eyes open, the blood red eyes fixating on her bright jades. For a moment the Uchiha stood there with no sudden moves, yet the pinkette was undeniably hoping he'd save her from this molester, not until he took his sword away and placed it where it belonged. Her hope crumbled in pieces for the sudden realization she didn't see coming. They know each other.
"He isn't going to be happy if he knew you are taking advantage of this woman alone. What are you planning to do, Uchi-?" His words cutted off, realizing the blade of a kunai mere inches from his throat. A grin lifted his face, he knew the Uchiha was impossibly fast, and he had always liked the challenge of outsmarting this monster yet maybe sometime. He was indeed arrogant, but he knew better than to challenge this guy 1 on 1.
"Fuck off, Hidan" She heard him say.Not a minute longer did he release his bruising grasps on her wrists and pushed Sakura back to the ground.
"I know how to pick my fights, Uchiha, but clearly you don't how to pick yours. He won't be amused for your betrayal so you better hope this fucking woman is worth it.""Go fuck yourself," He growled, grabbing the arm of the woman sitting wobbly on the ground as they both sinked and disappeared into the midst of nowhere.
