XXVIII. The Vacation (Pt.1)
Their relationship never changed the day after. Sakura expected it. She never thought her words would actually help him overcome things. She thought it was a start though.
The Uchiha was gone since morning, or probably last night. Sakura didn't know. Alone and at peace, Sakura spent the next few hours cleaning her apartment. It was her day off at her part time job at the clinic. Other than cleaning, her mind spent a lot thinking about Itachi's request. To meet him. Is it really possible that they are related to each other? What could go wrong if they did meet?
The pinkette thought of the possibilities.
First, Itachi might find it weird and dangerous, about him belonging into a different dimension and might call the cops if gone worse. Second, it may be the answer for their questions, how could they open the portal back to the Uchiha's dimension? What if Itachi knew the answer and restoring his memories was the only thing they need to do? Third, they really might be related and end up doing something horrible if they originally had a plan of destroying her world or something. All of it was up to her hands, if she will or will not let them meet.
She was cut off her thoughts when a knock on the door caught her ears. It was a hurry!-kind of knock and heard the oh-so familiar voice behind it.
"Open up! Open up!"
"Calm down." Sakura greeted the blooming blonde before her front door.
"Goodmorning to you too." Ino welcomed herself and roamed around as if looking for something. "Where's your boyfriend?"
"He went for a walk." She guessed. "What are you doing here if I may ask?"
"OKAY sheesh, Here's why I came here for!" The blonde, grinning and excited, flung out four blue tickets of what seems like tickets for an amusement park."What are those? ...That couldn't possibly be...." Sakura probed.
"Tickets to Enchanted Island Park Resort!! Isn't it exciting? We're finally going!" Ino beamed.
"Why are there four tickets?" The pinkette noticed, hoping her friend wasn't thinking what she was.
"Double date. Me and Yuko, you and Uchiha, whatever that guy's first name is. Anyway. This comes with an overnight stay, free breakfast, swimming pool access and ride-all-you-can at their amusement park. I know you know because we've been dreaming about this trip since last year!""Wha- I can't afford the ticket- and I can't possibly owe you-" Sakura thought of possible excuses to refuse but couldn't find the right one. Although she didn't exactly want to refuse. It is true that the two of them were planning on this trip since last year but couldn't afford it by then. "..and Ino... Yuko? Really? Your ex-high school-boyfriend?" She commented judgingly.
"Oh come on, he's not that bad."
"Yeah, he just kinda dumped you for another girl." Sakura stared at Ino, unbelievable.
"Past is past, girl. Move on! He's now a changed- not to mention rich- man. And FYI, he bought me the tickets. Actually, just the two tix. As for the other two, funny because I won it on a raffle yesterday when I attended the art flower convention.""I-I haven't got the time." Sakura bit her lip.
"Sakura, I literally know where you work, believe me when I say I will barge in that clinic and ask a day off for you."Sakura sighed in defeat.
It seems like Itachi would have to wait.

"Are you sure we can't stay in just one room?" Sakura asked in a low whisper.
"Do you honestly want to see me and Yuko having sex?" Ino asked in the same low whisper with a straight face. "Yeah, I guess not." Ino added after seeing Sakura's disgusted face.
