Is she dead?... No, it doesn't feel like it. I still feel pain. She corrected herself. Where is she? Why does she feel extra comfortable? What happened?..... She breathed slowly. Wait.. Why does it smell so familiar? The smell of... the hospital. It couldn't be... she remembers it now, how she wrapped herself to him and how they fell... how she drowned.

The pinkette bolted herself up, remembering everything, gasping for air as if she was still in the water.
"Whoa whoa! Lie down before you hurt yourself again!" A woman shouted with a very very familiar voice. Sakura turned to her direction, and the look of relief flushed over her.

"For goodness' sake Sakura, where have you been?! How did this happen?" Ino's face was full of concern and worry, yet she couldn't bring herself to respond to her bestfriend. "Y'know what, nevermind. I'm sorry." The blonde said in a much more gentle way as she sat at the chair beside her hospital bed. She sniffed, obviously still have colds. "I was just so worr-"

"You still have colds?" Sakura spoke finally.
"Well, yes. It doesn't go as easily. That's what you said."
"It's already been a week and a half.. I think."
Ino snorted, "Sakura. Seriosly. How many liters of river water did you drink? It's been 2 days, you knucklehead."
"What?"
"2 days since you were missing or last seen."

I don't understand.. I... Was I.. was I dreaming these whole time? She must've hit her head hard, because it doesn't explain anything at all. Though if it was a dream, that would be better for her.

"I'm not rushing you... but I ought to know what or how all of this had happened." The blonde clasped the pinkette's hand, looking worried once again.
"The... truck." She swallowed hard.
"Truck... oh.. there was an accident that day too. D-did it hit you?"
"No, it slipped on the road and... I was walking... so.. I... I tried to avoid it.."
Ino stood and wrapped her arms at the pinkette who looked terrified remembering it all. She didn't want her to continue any longer. "That's enough. I'm here for you. See here, once you're checked out, I'm going to treat you for a frappe and a book convention pass." Ino said, tearing up.

"Inopig, I'm not dying. I'm okay. I just couldn't get the words from coming out." The cherry blossom chuckled, hugging her bestfriend back. "Plus, I'm more worried about how long it'll take for me to repay your family back for this hospital bills."
"No need. This one's on us. Consider this as a gift from the Yamanaka babies."
"Gift?"
"Yes, we saw your name on the passing list of the licensure exam, that's when I started calling to congratulate you and you never answered at all, so I had the courtesy to check on you personally and you weren't there. And that's something worth reporting to the police. I was like, no officer, you don't understand, that woman is allergic to the sun and people, especially to men, and they thought I was joking."

Sakura missed the way how her laugh goes, it felt like a week she didn't use it. But it had been a week and a half, right? No, 2 days, right? Scratching the thought away, she was just thankful to this blonde pig for making her remember how to make use of it. It felt like their talk was a catch up for the past few days she'd gone. Their chitchat would've gone for all night long if only the nurse didn't excuse herself inside and reminded Ino that visiting hours are over in 15 minutes and she had to go.

"Killjoy," The pinkette heard the blondie mutter under her breath, making her chuckle again. Ino started packing her things in her sling bag obviously not hurrying.
"Well, I guess I have to go. They'll discharge you tomorrow, don't worry. So enjoy your night at this 3 star hospital."
"I will." Sakura snorted out, "You take care, okay?"
"Sure will. Bye." Ino showed herself out after she puckered her lips with her lip gloss, yet a mere second before she went out the door, she went back to the room as if she forgot something.
