XVI. Marked

The earsplitting silence was enough to drive the cherry blossom crazy that very night. The room was too quiet, too comfortable, too spacious. It was more than okay if it was meant to be a prison, in fact, it didn't deserve to be called that, because it was way too neat and quite a rental-worthy place.

The cherry blossom directed her sight to the man sitting before her, head down, hands behind his back. His position imitating hers. Wrists tied in a somewhat unbreakable rope wrapped behind their back on the post, keeping them in place. Yet there's one thing she was suspicious of. They weren't being gagged. Perhaps these killers would like to hear some information? Yet nevertheless, it distracted her but didn't dare even try to speak.

She wants to ask him outloud though. Why? Why did you let them take us? She was left confused and curious, because she knew the moment they challenged one another, he wasn't to his full extent. It was't even a fight. What's keeping him from it? Does he happen to know the man behind the cloak? The man he called Uzumaki?

She was scared of the possibilities of what these people could do to her they could easily tame the Uchiha. Yet no matter how many questions she wanted to ask this man, they stayed in complete silence and she uttered no word.

"Why would you tie her up?" A man's voice hissed in irritation behind the closed doors, yet the pinkette could hear it perfectly and perfectly caught her attention. His voice was familiar, he was the one who took them after all.
"Stay down fox, we're still not sure who she is." A woman, her voice sounding mature, making the pinkette think she must be in her late 30's or early 40's.

By the word she, the cherry blossom was left wondering, her body sweating and shivering. She was getting really frustated to whomever looked like her, because she was being mistook for another pinkette, she assumed.

Although it bothered her more about what the man had said. He was questioning why the she was being imprisoned. Is she not supposed to if they knew who she really is?

"Did he mark her already?" She followed up, her tone a bit softer this time.
"No." The man answered quickly as if he was very certain.
"That son of a bitch better not," She hissed.
"I thought you oughta know he surrendered himself to us with her,"
"He did?"
"Perhaps he is hoping for a fair trade,"

Over the muffled sounds inside the room, the silence was easily killed by a loud, deafening explosion somewhere nearby. Sakura's heartbeat ran fast, her eyes wide in shock. She, then, heard number of voices shouting for commands to look over, the conversation of the strange man and woman behind the doors had gone, the sound of steps by the running people to or from the scene. Sakura wasn't quite sure about it, but she knew this was not normal. This was an attack. Another explosion bombed the place, and the pinkette shivered, she gasped for air and she struggle her wrists to pull free.

She felt her wrists burning from the ropes, and as she struggle to loosen it, it does its opposite and it was much worse. It tightens more, causing even more pain. Her face sweated, in thoughts of this place being bombed in a few seconds from now. She looked over the man before her and still, he did not move. What did they do to you? The pinkette cried in her head. She had no choice. She stretched her feet and tried to wake him up.
"U-Uchiha!!!" The cherry blossom desperately cried. "We're going to die, wake the fuck up!!" She wanted to wipe the beads of tears on the corner of her eyes yet her hands were tied and unable to do so. She didn't want to cry and to look weak, ever. But she was... scared. Very... scared.

She wanted to live.

"Shut it." He scoffed, making Sakura's breathing to stop for a second, her tears stopped running and she was a bit irritated for thinking he was waiting for her to call him out before even trying to make a move. But this was not the right time to think of that.
"Y-you're awake all this time?"
