Steve X Reader: Shut Up And Dance

A/N: Hello faithful followers! I know I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. In this one-shot, I decided to play out the new song that is officially stuck in my head, Shut Up and Dance by WALK THE MOON. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Steve hated going to Tony's parties with a burning passion. Though he had some friends, he still felt so awkward since he did not know how to dance whatsoever. In the forties dancing was somewhat simple, but now in the 21st century it was just plain confusing. He didn't understand some of the moves people were making. Plus some of the music made no sense.

Looking around, his blue eyes caught a beautiful young woman dancing with others whom seemed to be her friends. She was an amazing dancer. With her (y/h/l) (y/h/c) hair going all over the place, she was having so much fun. He smiled at her outfit. Though she was wearing a backless (y/f/c) dress, she was still wearing Converse sneakers instead of heels. After the dance was done, she gave a breathtaking smile and started laughing at the fun she was having.

Steve wanted to approach her, but as soon as he took a step, the music started again. The woman of his dreams was heading to the dance floor. What shocked him was what happened next. She saw him looking at her and smiled, but it held mischief. She took his arm and dragged him to the dance floor.

He tried to stop her. "Don't know how to dance."

You looked at him with a smile. "Just don't look back at everybody else. Keep your eyes on me and have some fun."

The music was picking up a bit more. Following her advice, he focused on her and started to dance, having some fun. What he noticed that you were slowing down for him.

He said, "You're holding back. Maybe I should go. You can have more fun without me here. I'll just-"

Your (y/e/c) eyes looked into his, which took his breath away. In that instant, their connection was solidified. He knew he had found the one. You just smirked at him. "Just shut up and dance with me."

The two of you continued to dance the night away. Steve had let go of all of his fears and enjoyed dancing with you. It just felt so natural with you.

He had not only his right partner, but found his destiny.
