Killian had to go to school. He didn't like the fact that Emma would be out of his sight all day, but she had pushed him to go. She was getting discharged later on in the week, and would be back in school next Monday. Everyone was talking about the attack at Ruby's party, and everyone wanted to know what was happening with Emma. She was healing pretty fast, and was doing good for the most part. Regina had gone back to her bratty ways. After not being the person to save Emma's life, she wasn't the town hero like she wanted to be.

Emma was laying in the hospital. All she wanted was Killian. She felt safe with him. No one else in the world existed when they were together.

Killian went up to Regina that day because he noticed she was upset.

"Regina love can we talk?"

She turned around to face him. "What?"

"I wanted to tell you that you were more important in this whole thing than you think."

Her expression softened. "Really?"

"Aye. If you weren't there, Emma would have been kidnapped, or possibly dead. You and Graham were the ones to find her."

"Thanks."

Killian started to lean in, but Regina tried to sink into the locker. He was with Emma. What's wrong with him?

"Killian stop! You're with Emma!" Regina screamed.

"She doesn't have to know. Cmon just one kiss." Killian said.

"It's not right."

"Bloody hell its not right! I am a guy. I have needs that she isn't doing. Cmon just one night."

"Don't you care about her?"

"No." There was a moment of silence. "I don't even love her."

Emma jolted awake. She felt tears on her cheeks. She was crying in her sleep. Killian ran in the room.

"Did Neal come back and hurt you?" Killian asked. His book bag was slumped over his shoulder.

"Uh no. I had a nightmare." Emma said.

"What was it about?"

"It was about you."

He dropped his bag and made his way over to her. "You know I'd never hurt you. Do you want to talk about it?"

Emma explained her dream and when she was finished he hugged her.

"She isn't really my type anyway."

Emma laughed and he laid down next to her. She was worried though. What was going on in school while she wasn't there? Was Killian cheating on her and the dream was a sign? Even though she was dating him, she still had the little bit of doubt that he wasn't being faithful. She looked up at him and his eyes were glued to the tv screen. Distrusting someone was what she was good at. They were together and most of her walls were gone, but one tall and high layer still remained. The trusting layer. She looked back up at him again and this time he was looking at her.

"What are you thinking about love?"

"Nothing."

He didn't want to push the matter farther so he dropped the subject. Later that night when he went to pick dinner up at Granny's, Emma called Ruby.

"Ruby I need to ask you something." Emma said.

"What's up?" Ruby asked. The sound of her smacking her gum could be heard on the other end of the phone.

"I need to what has been going on with Killian and Regina for the last couple days."

"Oh nothing why?"

"Well I had this nightmare about him trying to kiss her and saying that he didn't love me. I just don't want it to come true." Emma kept watching out for Killian. She knew something bad would happen if he over heard her, but what she didn't know, was that he was hiding in the hallway. He was listening to her talk.

"Emma you know that he loves you. Why would he go through all the trouble of getting you to forgive him when he yelled at you and when he got drunk at Regina's party? You mean everything to him."

Emma sighed. She knew Ruby was right. "Yea I know. You know about the trust issues that I have. I love Killian and every part of my body is saying to trust him, but I just can't."

"I'd say that you don't trust Regina, but in the dream she was trying to get him to stop right?"

"Yea. I don't know how to explain it. I love Killian so much, and I don't want to lose him, and I'm afraid that when I wake up, somebody will take my place."

Killian was listening to every word she said. When he heard what she said his heart almost broke. Emma really thought that she would lose him.

"He won't replace you." Ruby said.

"I know he won't, but-" Emma began.

"Listen Ems, Killian isn't like Neal and Graham. He loves you and you love him right?"

"Of course I love him. He's my everything."

Killian's heart melted yet again. He heard what he was too cowardly to ask. He wasn't sure when he should go in.

"Emma I have to go, but I think that you should trust him just like he trusts you."

"Thanks Ruby."

Emma hung up and Killian waited thirty seconds or so to walk in. He took a deep breath and came in pretending like he didn't hear that she was talking to someone.

"Here is you grilled cheese Swan." He said setting the bag down.

"Thanks. The food here is disgusting." Emma said.

She dug into the food bag and brought out her sandwich. Along with that, a small piece of paper came out along with it.

"Swan what the bloody hell is that?"

"I don't know Killian. I just found it let me read it."

She opened the piece of paper, and it was a note from Neal. She began reading it in her head.

I know you are alive Emma. Watch your back, because I will be back. This is not the last time that you will hear from me. I have left Storybrooke for the time being, but it won't be for long. I am returning with someone else with me. Someone that you have wished you would never see again. See you soon.
           Neal.

A stray tear fell onto the paper. She threw the bag that was in her lap across the room. The contents inside spilled onto the floor.

"What is it?" Killian asked.

Emma shoved him the note and he read it.

"Why all of the threats?" He asked.

"Because I am a person who screams mess with me?" She said sarcastically. "I don't know! I want it to stop. I want him dead."
