When I Met You, I Found Me (1)

Chapter 21

At school, Regina had been bitchier than usual. Everyone that looked at her, would get yelled at or shoved out of the way, except for Killian. She would wink or try to flirt with him. While he was at his locker, Regina walked over to him.

"Hey. I heard that you were pretty good at English. Maybe you could come over and help me with it." Regina said in a flirting way.

"You know, I have plans." It was the day before Emma's birthday, and he was helping Ruby, Robin, and Belle set up.

"Cmon please? You wouldn't want me to fail would you?"

"Regina I really don't care. Go find someone else to help you."

"I help find your girlfriend and you can't help me with a homework paper?"

"Fine! You have one hour. Meet me in the English room."

Regina nodded and started to lean in.

"Uh Regina what are you doing?" He asked leaning back.

She didn't answer. She kept leaning in until he couldn't go back any farther. Her lips pressed against his. His eyes shut, but hers remained open. She pulled away and saw a glimpse of golden hair flash by them. Killian saw it to.

"What the bloody hell did you do?" He asked.

"I've been waiting to do that all day." She leaned in close to his ear. "I don't need help with that homework anymore." She walked away, and Killian went towards the doors where Emma went.

He ran towards her where she was. She was sitting on the steps with her hands in her face. He quietly opened the doors and sat next to her.

"She kissed me." He said quickly and quietly.

She looked over at him, stood up, and ran home. He followed her.

"Swan! I didn't kiss back!" He yelled.

She slowed down and he caught up. "You have to believe me. I didn't kiss her."

"You know Killian, I don't know if I should believe you. Some birthday huh. Did you enjoy it?"

"What kind of question is that?"

Emma spoke slower. "Did you enjoy it?"

"I didn't kiss back! I don't like her! I love you!"

Emma took a deep breath. "I actually thought you were different." She turned around and walked up the steps to her house. She slammed the front door shut and her bedroom door shut.

Killian went up to her house too. He used his key to unlock the door, and went up to her room. He opened the door and she had her head buried in the pillows.

"Swan, I am different. You said so yourself in this room. I didn't enjoy it. Yes it was different, no I didn't like it. She is not my type to go out with. Please forgive me, I'm sorry."

She sat up. "Get. Out. I don't want to talk about this, and I sure as hell don't want you near me. Now go!"

He stayed put standing at her door. "I'm not leaving until I know that you forgive me."

"Well you are either leaving by walking or pushed over the balcony."

"I know you are mad, but violence is not the answer. I just want you to know that she kissed me." Killian had guilt all throughout him.

"Whatever. Get. Out."

He nodded and left. She collapsed back on her bed. 'How could he do this to me?' Emma thought to herself. She looked over and saw his leather jacket. She wanted to destroy it, but couldn't bring herself to do it.

Killian walked to the gym. He started to punch a punching bag. What made Regina do this? She was a bitch who didn't care about anyone but herself.

That day, Emma had to go get glasses. Nobody knew about it except for Ruby. Her glasses were black and slightly too big for her face. Now that she had glasses, and with a breakup before her birthday, she was a mess. She called Ruby and she came over. Ruby did a good job at keeping Emma's mind busy. They went shopping after she got her glasses, then went to Granny's for dinner, then went home. Ruby opened Emma's laptop and went to this chat website that was for Storybrooke students.

"Rubes what are you doing?" Emma asked.

"Making you an account for this chat website. It's for all Storybrooke students. I can't believe you don't have one already." Ruby said.

"I don't know. It doesn't seem like a good idea."

"Nothing you say will make me quit doing this."

Emma laughed and rolled her eyes. Ruby tapped away at the computer.

"What do you want your username to be?" Ruby asked.

"Uh what about, uglyduckling28." Emma said.

"Okay that's good."

Killian went home and opened his laptop. He never told Emma that he had made this account on this chat website. He was friends with everybody at Storybrooke online. He looked around and found a new account, one he had never seen before. The username was uglyduckling28. He sent a friend request right away.

"Ooh look Emma! You have a follow request!" Ruby yelled.

Emma bolted over to the computer. "From captainkj1. Accept it, maybe they will want to talk." Emma said.

Soon enough a pop was heard on the computer.

New Message from captainkj1

"Emma look! A new message!" Ruby said.

Emma smiled and opened it.

New in here love?

Emma smiled and showed Ruby the message. She quickly responded.

Actually yea. Why did you want to know?

I am friends with basically everybody except for like the 10 lonely people who don't have an account.

Oh, okay. So tell me, what is your name?

Emma's finger hovered over the enter key. Is that being to forward? Ruby slammed her hand on Emma's finger, and the message sent.

"That was risky!" Emma yelled.

"Live on risk." Ruby said.

Emma waited nervously for a reply. A few seconds later, another pop was heard on the computer.

Zach. What about you?

Alex. It's nice to meet you Zach.

And you Alex. Hey, I have to go, but I will talk to you tomorrow.

Ok, bye.

Emma shut her laptop and talked to Ruby for awhile until they decided to go to bed. Zach took her mind off of Killian, better than Ruby did.

Killian shut his laptop and took a shower then went to bed. He was reminded of Emma. Maybe Alex would know what to do.
