Loud footsteps and a banging noise woke Emma up in the middle of the night. She thought that it was just paranoia at first, but the footsteps got louder and louder. How come she was the only one who could hear it?
"Killian wake up." She said nudging him. "Wake up I think someone is in the house."
His eyes opened and sat up quietly. "Stay here." He got up and went downstairs. He searched every room and they were empty. He went back upstairs to Emma. "No one is here."
She nodded and looked out the window. She looked down in the street and a figure stood staring at her window. By the persons physique and the way they dressed and stood, it was no doubt Neal. "Killian he's in the middle of the road!" She yelled in a whisper.
He darted from the doorway to the window and there he was standing there. Even in the darkness he could tell Neal had an evil smirk on his face. "What do we do?" Emma asked.
"I don't know. If we call the cops then he will run." Killian said.
They looked at each other for a second and when they looked back down, Neal was running in the direction of the woods.
"Lay back down love. Try to get some sleep." He said laying next to her.
"How can I sleep now? He knows where I live and he's watching me. I mean who does that at three o'clock in the morning?" Emma whispered.
"I'm here to protect you. Don't worry, if he wants you, he will have to go through me first."
"That's sweet Killian, but you don't know him like I do. He will kill you. It's best if you don't get involved."
"We have been through this before. I'm not going to leave. I will watch you. You think that it's best if I leave, but it's not. If you hadn't forgot, I left bruises all over his face, and I didn't have one scratch on me."
Emma sighed. He didn't get it. Neal wasn't armed on the night of their date. Sure Killian beat him up, but Neal would kill him if they got too close. He just wasn't giving up, and he wasn't going away.
"Are you going to lay down?" He asked patting the space next to him.
Emma rolled her eyes and laid down next to him. She had her back facing him and he ran his hand up and down her back. She fell asleep in his arms.
The next day Emma told Ruby everything. Her focus was on telling her about Neal, but Killian relaxing her and falling asleep with her came up too.
"Oh my God! You guys haven't even had your second date yet and he is already sleeping with you!" Ruby said. It wasn't loud, but she was excited.
"Not like that! I mean he fell asleep while we were laying together." Emma said trying desperately to get it through her head.
"It will happen, but promise me that you will at least have a second date before you do anything like that." Ruby said.
"I think we can wait that long."
"Sure." Ruby said sarcastically. Emma rolled her eyes and they went to class.
As Emma walked in, she heard Regina whispering about her. "I mean he just moved here and they are dating. It's not fair how somebody that good looking gets to date a nobody like her."
Emma felt the tears start to build up in her eyes, but she quickly stopped them. Regina just wasn't worth it. She just takes time out of her pathetic life to talk about her. She was angry, but not sad or embarrassed. Killian walked in and saw Emma tapping her foot. He sat next to her and stared at her.
"Is there a reason your staring at me?" Emma asked harshly.
"I can't stare at the most beautiful girl in the world?" Killian said.
