Chapter 22

The next day at school, Emma did her best to ignore Killian at all costs. She was in between of anger and sadness. She got a bunch of happy birthdays from people, but not one from Killian. He wanted more than anything to tell her happy birthday, but he knew she was upset. At the end of the day before she got to her locker, he put a note in it. When she opened it, a small paper fluttered down to her feet. She picked it up and opened it.

Swan, I just wanted to tell you happy birthday, and that your glasses are cute.
         Killian

She looked around but didn't see him, so she went home. She opened her laptop and apparently Zach was waiting for her.

Ah finally! What have you been doing?

Awe how sweet. You were waiting for me. I just got home from school.

Sure enough, there was 32 messages waiting for her.

Of course I was waiting for you. I actually have something to ask you.

Well I just recently got out of this relationship, and I still love her.

Yes, but I don't know if she does or not.

Well maybe you should just ask her. The worst she could do is say no right?

Right thanks, so enough about me. What about you? How was your day?

Not so good. Much like you, I broke up with my boyfriend yesterday. I've been an absolute mess since.

Well I say that if he wants to get back together, either ask him or wait for him to come to you, if he is miserable too.

See I have no idea if he's upset. If he is, he doesn't look that way. It's a waste to use mascara now lol.

You know, I'm not sure. If he is upset he will come back. Don't cry though, whatever he does, it will be for the best. Whether you get back together or not.

Absolutely. Given the temperature I don't think much swimming will be going on.

Yea. She is actually one of my friends, and she just got this new giant indoor pool. It's actually pretty cool.
