"Killian I think I can handle myself!" Milah said walking up the steps to her house.
"I'm just watching out for you. Is that such a crime babe?" Killian asked.
"I think it's cute, but I need some space."
"I'm going to stay by you no matter what. We will do everything together."
Milah finally caved. "This isn't going to work Killian!"
"What do you mean love?"
"Us. It's not going to work. You are up my ass all the time, and it's only been one day!"
"Are you saying that you want to break up?" Killian asked slightly shocked.
Milah nodded. "I'm sorry I did all that. Maybe I should have gotten to know you first." She stuck her hand out. "Friends?"
Killian nodded, and tried all his might to not smile. He shook her hand. "Friends."
He watched her go inside and took a breath of air, but then remembered, "Emma." He ran back to his car and went home.
When he went home, he dug his key out of his pocket, and unlocked the door. When he did, he saw that the lights were off. He tiptoed into the bathroom, took a quick shower, and laid down next to Emma. He pulled her close to his body.
"I didn't think that you would be back." She said harshly.
"Sorry I woke you up love."
"Don't you have a bitch to watch over?"
"No, I have a Swan to watch over."
Emma sat up, but she still didn't look at him. "That's me. You can't be here. You have a girl to cling onto."
He moved and sat next to her. "It worked. It was faster than I expected. I guess I'm just that good." He put an arm around her. "Would you mind telling me why you were upset today?"
She looked over at him. "I already told you. Nobody asked me if I was okay with this!" She stood up still facing him. "You going with Milah the last two days, and seeing you with her. I thought I was going to be okay with it, but I wasn't."
"Why were you so worried?"
"Because maybe you two look like the perfect couple together, I don't know! All I know, is that I got super jealous when you were with her!"
"Swan it was a trick. I thought you were going to be okay with it so that's why I did what I did. It's over now."
"I know it's over now, but I still... I don't..." Emma trailed off.
"Don't want love?" Killian asked pulling her onto his lap.
Emma put her head on his shoulder. "I was afraid that you would end up liking her more than me, and you would end up leaving me for her. That everything we did together and went through, would have been for nothing."
"I'm not leaving you. We are going to finish high school together, go to college together, then we can do what ever it is that you want afterwards. Whether you want to spend some time in the place that you grew up, or go to California." Killian said.
"Yes. How about after college, we come back to Storybrooke for a little while. We can catch our breaths for sometime before moving along."
Killian nodded and smiled, then kissed her head. "Sounds like a plan."
She scooted off his lap and onto her side of the bed. He laid down on his side and held her close. She smiled and intertwined their fingers. "I'm sorry for-" She started but he cut her off.
"Don't, don't say anything love. Just go to sleep."
She nodded and did what he said. Sleep came faster when he was with her.
Emma found herself on the Jolly Roger again.
"It's been some time." She said aloud. But then ran below deck to see if Princess Emma was still there. She ran down, and she was pinned up against the bookshelf by a black mass. Emma silently grabbed a sword that was randomly laying on the ground. She moved towards the mass and the princess, when she was grabbed and her head was pinned between an arm and a chest. The person dragged her out of the room. Emma looked down as far as she could and saw a hook.
"Hook.... Stop..... It's... Me..... Emma." She forced out.
Hook instantly released her. "My apologies lass."
Emma caught her breath and ran back into the Captains Quarters. Princess Emma was still being pinned up against the bookshelf. The black mass was pulling something out of her. Emma attacked the thing and it flew away. The princess fell to the ground and coughed. She was holding her side as she did so.
"Hook!" Emma yelled.
Hook walked in casually, but when he saw the princess on the ground, he ran to her side. "Emma? Emma love can you hear me?"
The princess nodded slightly.
"What the bloody hell happened?" Hook asked.
Emma explained what the black mass was doing. Hook seemed to understand, but Emma didn't.
"Pan's shadow. Peter Pan must have sent it here to get the princess's shadow." Hook said.
"Is she going to be alright?" Emma asked.
"Aye. She will. She needs rest."
Hook placed princess Emma on the bed and brought the covers up underneath her chin. He started to walk away, but she stopped him.
"Will you stay?" The princess asked quietly.
Hook smiled and nodded. Emma smiled too, but her time with the pirate and the princess was up. She awoke back in her bedroom. She looked over and Killian was still beside her. Emma stared out the window, and could have sworn she saw some bright light flash, but she shrugged it off. Little did she know, was that she had to be worried. That flash was the light of a camera. The silent clicks of the button at the top, was in many ways, her life.
