Killian pulled out his phone and called Emma. He told her what happened, and she said that she was going to be over as soon as she could. After he hung up with her, Killian called his mom who went home shortly after Liam woke up to get some rest. Killian explained what the doctor said to him, and how Liam went into cardiac arrest. He could hear is mother crying over the phone. He packed up all of his things, and took them home. The funeral would be in a week or so. Killian went back to his and Emma's apartment and laid down in the bed. He looked outside the window and saw Milah walking down the street. A sudden flash of rage washed over him, but when he heard the front door shut, it all disappeared. Emma walked in and saw Killian's depressed state. She laid down and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm sorry Killian." Emma said.

He jolted up and looked at her. Pain was obviously behind his blue eyes. "I don't want your pity!"

"Then what would you like me to say?" Emma yelled.

"Anything but that!"

Emma stood up and went to the living room and laid down on the couch instead of in the bedroom. He followed her out and attempted to sit with her, but she put her feet down to block him.

"Can I sit?" He asked.

Emma rolled her eyes and moved her legs.

"I'm sorry okay? I didn't think that I would flare up like that."

Emma stayed quiet.

"Swan please say something."

"Control your temper." She stood up and went out to her car, not even bothering to grab a jacket. Emma drove down to an abandoned parking lot and sat in silence. Her phone kept buzzing with texts from him.

'Love please come back.'

'I won't yell at you again.'

'I'm sorry! It's just with everything that has been going on, I don't know how to react.'

'Come home and we will do whatever you want.'

'Emma please!'

'I'll go and find you if I have to.'

'There are only so many places you can go.'

Emma started the car again and drove home. She sat in the car in front of Granny's Bed and Breakfast, but she didn't go in. She stared at the window in her bedroom, wondering if she should go in. As she was staring at her window, she saw the curtains move. She got out of the car and walked up the steps to the building. As she was in the lobby, Killian attacked her with a hug. She looked around and it was empty.

"I'm sorry, I really am." He said in her neck.

"I don't want to hear it Killian, I really don't." Emma said pulling away from the hug, but he pulled her back so she was facing him.

"Don't walk away from me."

Emma yanked her hand away. "Don't tell me what to do! You're not my fa-father." She stuttered. It was still hard talking about her parents. Tears started to form in her eyes, and she turned her head.

"Swan, you don't have to hide your tears. I've seen you cry, I've seen you without makeup, I've seen you before you brush your hair in the morning. Nothing can faze me."

"Can't you just accept the fact that I want to be left alone right now? It doesn't help that some girl is making me suffer whether she likes you or not, I lost my parents because of Neal, you lost your brother and take your anger out on me!"

"And I said I was sorry. Emma you need to calm down."

"Don't tell me to calm down, because I am calm!" Emma stormed her way back up to the apartment and locked herself in the bathroom. She cried her eyes out. They weren't tears of sadness, but of anger. She heard him pounding on the door behind her, but she didn't open it.

"Emma let me in." He said.

"Please open the door love." He pleaded.

"I'm not opening this door! Go watch football or something." She yelled.

"I can't. There isn't a game on. Open the door please."

"No!"

"What do you want me to do?"

Emma stood up and opened the door and hugged him. "I don't know, but it's too much. I don't know how much more I can handle."

"Don't worry, because the police paid me a visit today." He pulled out a stack of cash from his back pocket and handed it to her. "Your prom money love."

She took it and counted it. $600 was there. The exact amount that was missing. "Thank you Killian."

He nodded and backed away with a smirk in his face. "Do I get a reward?"

Emma smiled and she led him into the bedroom.

At school, Emma met up with Ruby and Regina and told them what Killian saw at the hospital. She also explained about Liam's death. They were devastated, but they weren't supposed to know, so they didn't make a big deal about it.

"We can't just let her get away with this!" Regina said.

"Yea, well what can we do?" Emma asked.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find a way."

"Didn't you guys make a plan to leave after college?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, but we have to get through prom before graduation. Even though prom is only a month away." Emma said.

"Speaking of which, has he asked you yet?" Regina asked excitedly.

"No. Not yet." Emma said.

"He's going to have to ask you, or else someone might beat him to it." Regina said.

"Who would be interested in me?" Emma said as she pushed her glasses up on her nose.

Ruby whispered, "You didn't hear this from me, but that kid Walsh is in to you."

"Him? Really?" Emma asked.

Ruby nodded. "You better hope Killian asks you to go with him soon."

"I don't really care if he asks me or not. I mean, I would love it if he did, but Victor and Robin asked you guys to go. Why can't Killian do the same for me?" Emma said.

"It sounds like you do care Ems." Ruby said.

"Okay, maybe a little bit."

The bell rang signaling next period. "I gotta go. Don't either of you dare say a word to him about this." Emma said walking away.

Regina and Ruby just smiled and smirked. Either they had a plan, or they knew something that she didn't.
