Killian and Milah walked into the school, and Emma watched them. She turned her head. She knew that it was just a show, and it wasn't real, but she had to get away from the sight of the two together. She put her gaze into her locker looking at the books for her next class. She took deep breaths before slamming the locker door, and walking to class. She sat down at her seat and watched the students pile in. That's when she saw Milah and Killian standing in the doorway. She saw him give Milah a kiss, but his eyes were fixated on Emma. She turned away from them again and looked at her phone that was underneath the desk. The bell rang and Emma put her phone away. She sat through 45 minutes of the most boring class ever. Math. She caught Milah giving her dirty looks, but Emma ignored it.

'This is all going to pay off once Killian shows her that he is "clingy."' She thought to herself.

As the bell rang, Emma was the first one out of the classroom. She saw Killian leaning in the doorway, and he reached his hand out for her, but she shrugged it off, and didn't look at him. There were two reasons why they couldn't be seen with each other at the moment.

One, it would give their plan away that he was tricking Milah.
Two, that if she looked at him, or held onto him, she would burst into tears.

'Why are you so upset? This is just a trick for that bitch! You can't act like this. You have walls Emma, and it's about time to use them again.' She thought to herself.

Killian watched Emma walk away from him. But quickly turned back when he remembered that they weren't supposed to be together. He waited for Milah, and when she came out, he wrapped his arm around her.

"How was math darling?" He asked.

"Fine. What about you? How was science?" Milah asked.

"It would have been better if you were there." He kissed her cheek, but let his touch linger longer than it should have. It was her to eventually pull away.

"I have to go Killian or I'll be late to class."

"Since when do you care about the rules?"

"Since we started going out."

"But that's why I broke up with Emma. She was too much of a goodie goodie. I need a woman who isn't afraid to get into trouble."

"I have to go anyway."

Killian held onto her hand. "I'll see you after okay?"

Milah nodded and practically ran away from him. He smiled and went to his and Emma's shared class of English.

It was still a few minutes before class started, and only a few people were in the classroom. He sat in his seat next to Emma, but she had her eyes on her phone. He took his out and texted her.

'You look really nice today love.'

He saw the text come in on her phone, but she didn't physically respond. She texted him back.

'Thanks.'

'What's wrong?'

'Nothing. I'm fine.'

'Emma...'

'I don't want to talk about it.'

'Tell me.'

'Nobody asked me if I was okay with you doing this.'

He looked over at her, but she had her head turned away from him. The bell rang and he pocketed his phone and faced the teacher. During the whole class period, Emma didn't look at Killian once. When the bell rang, she packed up her stuff and ran out of the classroom. He went to the class Milah was in and walked her to lunch. Emma sat down with her tray and picked at her food. Everyone scooted down to her.

"What's wrong Ems?" Ruby asked.

Emma looked up and forced a smile. "Nothing."

"Emma tell me what's wrong." Ruby said.

"I don't want to talk about it." Emma said.

Ruby nodded and they went back to eating their food. Emma kept picking at her food thinking about her situation. At the end of the day, she hopped in her car, and before she started it, she saw Killian with his arm around Milah. Emma watched them leaning against his car. She started her car and drove home. Tears stung her eyes. She unlocked the door and slammed it shut. She worked on her homework hoping that it would take her rage off of her mind but it didn't. She finally finished her homework and looked over at the clock. 5:30. Killian wouldn't be back for awhile, that was if he would come back at all. She ordered a pizza and sat down on the couch. Emma's phone started ringing, and it was Ruby.

"Hi." Emma said half-heartedly.

"Are you home?" Ruby asked.

"Yea, why?"

Without another word, Ruby hung up. Emma shrugged it off and played games on her phone for awhile. There was a knock at the door and Emma got her money and paid for the pizza. As she was shutting the door, Ruby bolted in.

"Tell me what is wrong." Ruby said.

"I already told you everything is fine." Emma said taking a slice of pizza.

"Everything is not fine Emma. You forget that I know everything about you. I'm almost your sister. I know when you are upset."

Emma looked up at Ruby and sighed. "When Victor came up with this plan, nobody bothered to ask me if I was okay with it. At first I thought that I could handle seeing Milah and Killian together, but it's more of a big deal than I thought. Although she looks annoyed, she also looks happy. In a way, I think that Killian is going to fall for her, instead of annoy her until she doesn't like him anymore."

"Emma, just tell him that." Ruby said.

"No. This is what he wants to do. I just have to be the supportive, whatever I am to him at the moment."

Ruby nodded. "I appreciate that you are willing to do what he wants, but Emma, do you ever think about what you want?"

"It doesn't matter what I want. Just as long as it makes him happy. I keep telling myself that it is just an act, and that it will be worth it after she is done fighting for him, but I can't help but feel like something else will happen along the way."

"Well Emma, I guess you are going to have to hope and fight for the best." Ruby said.

Emma nodded and they both went to sit on the couch. Ruby put on a tv show, and for once, Emma's head wasn't cluttered in thoughts.
