"I'm so sorry Swan." Killian said.

"I bet he did it." Emma said. She took out her phone and looked at her emails. Sure enough there was one from Neal.

Emma,

I told you what would happen if you told someone. That lame attempt to have that hidden. You showing your lover boy your phone then him "laughing" wasn't very clever, then again you weren't really the brains of any operation. You will do as I say or more people die. It's as simple as that. I told you that I have eyes and ears on you. Don't think for a second that I don't because you saw. You'd be stupid to think otherwise.
Neal

Emma threw her phone across the room, but Killian caught it before it could hit the floor and crack. He set it down gently and hugged her. Ruby and Robin came barging into the house. They went over to Emma and hugged her.

"We're so sorry Emma." Ruby said.

Emma let the tears flow again. She lost her parents. They were all she had.

"Where am I going to go now?" Emma asked trying to hold back more tears. "I can't pay for a two bedroom and three bathroom house by myself. I don't even have a job!"

"It's okay. I'm sure Granny will let you have a job at the diner, and you can come live with me." Ruby said.

"Thanks Ruby." Emma hugged her again and Robin and Killian stepped outside.

"It's a shame what happened to her parents." Robin said.

"Well someone did this. That crazy ex of hers hired somebody to hurt or kill somebody she cares about unless she does what he says." Killian whispered.

"Typical blackmail case." Robin rubbed his temples. "What are we going to do?"

"You think I bloody know?"

"Calm down. We'll get Emma settled in at her room at Granny's then we find out who is doing this and get them caught. Then everything will be fine."

"She lost her parents while everyone else has them. Her mother won't help her for her wedding, and her father can't walk her down the aisle. They won't send her to prom. She's alone."

She'll be fine. She has her friends and her boyfriend." Killian looked up at him when he said that word. "Right?"

"Of course she has me. I won't leave her for the world, but I don't know how she is going to deal with all of this."

"Haven't you seen her? Emma is a fighter. She'll be absolutely fine." Robin put a hand on his shoulder. "Let's go back in and see how they are doing."

Killian nodded and just as they were going to open the door, it opened. Emma and Ruby were both shocked. The news was on in the background. Killian and Robin heard the news reporter and saw the tv screen. A chopper was over top of the car crash. On the screen were words that went around his head.

'Car accident in Storybrooke. Two dead, foul play involved.'

The news reporter was telling them the story. "Car accident leaves two dead. Investigators believe that the car skidded on a patch of ice, and when the driver applied the brakes, they failed due to them being cut. An investigation has begun."

Ruby and Emma pushed in between the guys and ran to Emma's bug. Robin shut the door to the house and the guys ran after the girls. Before they could speed away, they jumped in.

"Swan don't you think that it's a good idea to stay here until someone comes to get you?" Killian asked as Emma started the car.

"You heard her. Foul play was involved. I have to see what happened. Whoever this guy is better know that I'm onto him." Emma said. Before she pulled out, Robin stopped her.

"Wait you might want to check your brakes." Emma nodded and tested them. They were fine and they were off.

Emma was driving pretty fast. Robin and Killian gave each other scared looks. Ruby was trying to calm her down to get her to slow down. Pretty soon they got to the scene of the accident. The car was smashed into a tree and was upside down. It didn't even look like a real car. A news reporter was there in front of the scene, and the sheriff was walking around. It was all wrapped up in yellow police tape. Emma pushed her way to the front of the crowd with her friends closely behind. Up close, it looked ten times worse. Broken glass and blood was in the snow and on the street. Tears were forming in Emma's eyes. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Without hesitation Killian pulled Emma into a sideways hug. She had her hand to her mouth in shock. A news reporter came running over to Emma.

"And here we have the daughter of the deceased. Any comments Emma?" Nobody questioned on how she knew her name. In the small and quiet town, everybody knew everybody.

"Hey! She just lost her parents! Give the girl some space would you? No one wants to be bombarded with questions after what just happened!" Killian yelled.

Emma put her hand on his shoulder and stepped forward. "No comment at this time."

The news reporter stepped away and Emma buried her head in Killian's shoulder. He stroked her hair and head.

"Swan we will find out who did this." Killian said.

"Yea and we won't stop until we do." Robin said.

Emma pulled away and went to Ruby. She wrapped her arms around her back and cried into her shoulder. Robin came over and hugged Emma on the other side. Killian pushed them in the car and drove them home. He carried Emma bridal style and put her on the couch.

"We should start packing up your stuff love." Killian said.

"Someone needs to go get boxes." Emma said.

Robin and Killian nodded and left, while Ruby and Emma started to group things together. By the time the guys came back, the living room and kitchen were grouped together. Everyone crashed in Emma's living room watching a movie so they could get an early start on packing before school the next day.
