In the morning, Emma woke up to the sound of her alarm, but she was alone. After getting dressed and brushing her hair and teeth, she found Killian sitting at the island in her kitchen. He was holding the letter from Milah in his hands. He looked up at her.
"Why didn't you tell me about this?" He asked holding the letter up.
"I don't know. I figured it wouldn't be important." Emma said truthfully.
"It's a threat Swan. Of course it's important."
"It's nothing." She took the letter from his hands and threw it in the trash. "What do you want for breakfast?"
"Why are you putting it off?" Killian asked.
"How about eggs. I'm not in the mood for pancakes."
"Love why are you avoiding this?"
She slammed the spatula down onto the stove. "Because if I don't think about it too much, then I won't worry about it so much."
Killian regretted pushing Emma for an answer. She went back to cooking breakfast, then when she pushed a plate of eggs in front of him, she sat down to watch tv. He watched her but she pretended not to notice.
School that day was normal and quiet. Milah hadn't even showed up yet. Killian was worried about Emma. Too many things were happening to her all too fast, and he didn't know how much more she could handle. Free period was interrupted when the teacher put the tv on. The reporter was talking about a robbery near the pharmacy. Emma whipped her head up, and saw a picture of the suspect that was caught on the surveillance camera. It looked exactly like Milah. Although the image was grainy, it still looked like her. She felt Killian's gaze on her, so she turned her head and he was indeed looking at her.
"Could that be?" Emma asked.
"Milah." Killian said plainly.
On the way home from school, Emma and Killian were going to his house so they could pack up his things, when Milah came up to them again.
"Killian, did you hear what happened? There was a robbery. It's not safe around here anymore for a delicate girl like myself. Would you protect me?" Milah asked trying to hug him but he pushed her away.
"Nope. I know that you did it. Why? Why would you do it?" Killian asked.
Milah pretended to be shocked. "What? I wouldn't do such a thing."
"Don't act surprised! I just met you and I know that you are lying!"
Emma stood behind Killian awkwardly. She was listening to the fight, but it was between him and Milah. Emma started to walk away, but Killian grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
"No Swan I want you to stay."
"This is between you and her, not me. I'm gonna go and you let me know when you're ready to start packing." Emma said then walked away.
He turned his attention back to Milah who was giving him a seductive smirk. "Well now that we are alone." She stepped closer to him but he stepped back. "I know you like me Killian and it's good because I like you too. Forget that goodie goodie and come with me. We can run away and start a family together. Let's leave this all behind and go be happy."
"No Milah. You have been in this town for what, two days? And you are already hitting on me and trying to take me away from the woman I love. Nothing will make me leave her. I don't like you. Now go find someone else to be with because it won't be me." He turned around and ran to his house to find Emma sitting on the couch with Liam playing a video game.
"You ready to start?" Emma asked without taking her eyes off of the screen.
"Maybe later. Can we talk?" Killian asked.
Emma paused the game and handed the controller to Liam then followed Killian up the stairs and into his room. She shut the door gently and faced him. "What do you want to talk about?"
"Milah wants me to run away with her."
Emma stayed surprisingly calm. She nodded her head. "I see." She looked down at her feet. "Are you going to?"
He pulled her head up to look at him. "She seems really nice, but she is trouble and I don't want trouble." He shook his head. "No I'm not going to run away with her. If anything, it will be you."
"You scared the shit out of me to tell me that you aren't going to run away with her? What has gotten into you lately?"
"That was the plan." He picked her up and spun her around. "I just really really love you."
"I love you too, but you don't need to do that. Now do you want to start packing up your stuff?"
"Already on it." He broke out of her grip and started throwing clothes into a bag. Within a minute, most of his clothes from the dresser was in a bag. His floor was covered in dirty clothes and trash.
"Killian when was the last time you saw your floor?" Emma asked.
"When I moved in here. I haven't found it since." He said.
She kicked the dirty clothes into a pile and threw them in a basket. She then grabbed a plastic bag and threw all of the trash away. The floor became visible again. He turned around from what he was doing, and saw the floor.
"Bloody hell there it is!" He exclaimed pointing to the carpet underneath his feet.
Emma laughed then pointed to the bed. "Would you like to get the stuff that's under your bed or shall I?"
Killian shrugged. Then bent down. She went next to him and laid down on her stomach. He pulled out a shoe box and opened it up. Inside was a plastic hook that came from a Halloween costume. Dollar coins were scattered in the bottom of it, and a leather pouch sat along with the items. Emma gave him a quizzical look. "When I was seven, I wanted to be Captain Hook for Halloween. My mom said that I looked adorable, and I guess she never got rid of the few things that made up the outfit."
Emma picked up the hook and examined it. She then hooked his shirt with it and pulled herself closer to him leaning in. "I think you would have looked adorable too. It's a shame I didn't know you then."
He looked down at the hook that was hooked on his shirt, then looked up at her face. He saw the smirk spread across her lips. "Ask me anything. Whatever you wish to know you shall."
Emma turned her attention back to underneath the bed. She pulled out somethings, and went through them. Half of the stuff was garbage. "Have you ever cleaned up in here?" She stood up and took them to the garbage bag.
"Nope." Killian said simply.
Emma rolled her eyes, but something flying outside of the window caught her eye. She saw it heading towards the window. Without thinking, she tackled Killian and they both fell in the floor, in time, before a brick crashed through the window sending glass everywhere.
Sorry for the pointless chapter. Oops. Enjoy.
