Winry skipped down the streets, only stopping at every single store to find automail. Maice dragged her self along, only hopping on her one foot when she needed to. She entered one of the stores and snooped around, looking for anything she needed. "Ooh!" She said picking up some scrap pieces of metal. "That's a low price for good metal." She said to herself. She spotted stained wood as well, sliding her fingers with the grain. "Hahah!" She said excitedly. Maice spotted a welding torch beside the supplies and picked it up, adding it to her pile. "Do you have a round of bullets to go with this?" Maice asked the owner. He walked over to the opposite side of the room, grabbing the item then walking back, placing it on the heap. "Is that it miss?" He asked. "Yep!" She smiled. She paid as he loaded her stuff in a bag then handed it to her. She thought for a moment then grabbed the bag and pulled it up to her shoulder. "Thank you!" She waved as she slowly left the store.
Edward took her bag and held it along with all of Winry's  bags. He sighed. "Don't worry, this happens every time." They started back to their apartment, every one was quiet, everyone but Winry of course, who was explaining to Edward why he should be more careful with his auto mail. "I put my heart and soul into that auto mail and you go around talking to strangers who want to rip them right off your body?" Winry complained. "Winry he wasn't trying to-" Maice was cut off, as she tripped, her stomach slamming to the ground. "Now, you don't need her bothering you any longer now do you?" Maice growled. "Damn it, Greed!" She yelled turning to her back, facing him. His foot quickly lifted, slamming it against her throat, pinning her to the dry, dusty ground. Maice choked on her spit as she gasped for air. Ran up to him, as Winry and Alphonse stood next two the dropped bags. Alphonse squeezed Winry, holding her tight. "You know I can't kill you Ed. So just leave it be, she's just another worthless, homunculus." Maice reached down to her foot, just barely able to clap them together. She grabbed Greed's foot, then managed to choke out the words, "I'm not a homunculus." Greed sighed, as his leg showed off muscles, veins and blood. "Damn it, kid. You never learn." He said. Edward charged at him as he was distracted, knocking him off his feet. And another battle begun, as the alchemist fought, without their arms.
