Darkness surrounded and encased Luke in a suffocating burrito of cold warmth. His breathing was laboured and sketchy as he slowed to a standstill in the middle of a deserted road.

Overwhelming cliffs were towering over him on both sides; there were many places for an ambush. The huge boulders that the ginger passed by every so often and the cliff tops were some hiding spots.

Hunger clenched at his stomach and his throat was parched from the lack of water. In the vans they did have some forms of nutrition but it seemed like nutrition wasn't important until now. Maybe because the story teller failed to mention this as they were trying to move the story onwards.

Luke coughed and collapsed to the tarmaced road. His face stained with dirt. His mind filled with horror.

He couldn't believe he'd just left Phil to fight off the oncoming ninjas. His morals were screaming at him to go back and help Phil but he didn't have the strength to. Not in the mind nor body.

A buzzing sound pierced the deathly silence of nowhere. It buzzed with so much force that Luke practically jumped out of his skin, before realising it was coming from his back jean pocket.

A phone.

He quickly grasped it from his pocket (nearly dropping the device in the process) and held it. The number displayed was blocked but still with shaking fingers Luke answered.

"H-hello?" he asked, slightly confused.

"Ah, Mr Cutforth, I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting," a voice replied.

"Who is this?" Luke said.

"All in good time Mr Cutforth," the voice said. "Now, I must apologise about the, um, predicament you are in currently. My boss has actually made me make this call, so-"

"I'd like to know who I'm speaking to," Luke said.

"Oh, right. He didn't put anything about not mentioning this so I suppose I could tell you. I'm Hank Green," Hank said, his voice echoing throughout the road. "So, my boss would like you to make your way to the address that we are sending you right now. Directions are included of course and-"

The phone went silent for a few seconds.

"Hello? Hank?"

"Nope, not him," another voice said. "Now, Luke. I'd love it if you could get to this address. After all you want to see your precious Emma again, don't you?"

Luke's heart raced.

"What?! You have Emma?!" Luke said, panicking.

"Yes, and I'm sure you'd like to save her from death," the voice said mockingly. "Tick tock Cutforth. Tick tock."

An hour had passed, and Luke had found the address that was messaged to him. The Yorkshire lad had yet to encounter a single person, either dead or alive.

It was a warehouse by the looks of things - perfect for all things creepy. It was slightly decrepit and oozed evil senses that exploded into every pore in his body.

Scared, honest to God petrified was the way to describe Luke's emotions. That and a sense of determination, egged on by adrenalin bouncing through his blood.

"H-hello?! Anyone here?!" Luke called, stepping through the broken door. "I won't hurt you!"'

Harsh breathing down his neck made him stand up straighter.

"Like a lamb to the slaughter," someone tutted, and then darkness.

No-one managed to escape unscathed. As if they did. If they did, I'd be more than surprised. I'd be shocked. I'd be concerned for their sanity.

I'd be scared for everyone's sanity.

Early surprise update for all of you! This is a filler so I thought I'd give it to you now. Another chapter will be up on Monday as usual so yay!

My internet friends cat had kittens last week and I've officially become their godmother. I got to name one Roger so I'm quite happy atm.

My irl friend threw his keys on the roof so I had a 15 min phone conversation on him getting a big stick to get it down. I told him to chew a tree with his teeth but that didn't happen.
