nine: dilemma
―
Weeks passed by and so far, so good ― not. Krista began to procrastinate which, unfortunately, wasn't her usual hobby before. She hates it when she crams but recently, she realized she's been doing that. Distracted ― that's how she feels. She got ninety-nine problems but Seokjin being a part of her life isn't one. She's attending school once again, eating more than usual, ignoring Casper as possible as she could, talking to Seokjin more often than before. That's how her life evolves these past few days or weeks.
"Dude," someone nudged Krista's shoulder and without any dilemmas, she already knew it was no-one else but Seokjin. She turned around to face him and he looking down on me, smiling. Damn, he's tall. "Do you mind if I sit beside you?"
"I don't mind at all," she answered, smiling as she started to pat the space next to her seat, moving to the right to give Seokjin a larger space. He sat down beside her and placed his tray on the table.
"How are you feeling?" he asked as he started to open the carton juice box and eventually took a sip of it. Krista doesn't know how to respond; it's either he's asking about the break-up, stressful life of hers, or how she is in general.
"I'm doing just fine, I guess?" she weakly smiled, unsure of what to answer. Is she really all right? Feelings isn't something you should lie about― she did though. Instead of weeping her feelings over her messed-up life, she began to ask Seokjin a question she haven't asked yet. "How are you?"
"Well―" he huffed before continuing, "―I'm feeling great. So far, so good."
"And why is that so?" she smirked, playfully bumping Seokjin's shoulder, waiting for Seokjin's reply. "Is it because of your girlfriend?"
"No, no," he chuckled, shaking his head. After that, he looked straightly at Krista, making her look down in embarrassment, probably her cheeks getting red. She felt embarrassed. "It's because― lately, I get several blessings from people and I feel really happy about it. I felt welcomed here; having a scholarship, a comfortable home, having a good friend like you, being a model―"
"Wait― you're a model?" Krista exclaimed, absolutely surrpised. She's friends with a model and she didn't know. Is this the reason that she kept thinking he looks so model material that he's actually a model? "How come I didn't know you're a model? We've been friends for almost two months now and you didn't mention you're―"
"Well, you didn't ask!" he laughed, placing his hands on his stomach. "Now you know I'm a model."
They kept laughing for no apparent reason, just looking at each other, making the both of them feel at ease. He is aware that he feels comfortable being with Krista. He can say anything to Krista without feeling uncomfortable or what else feels. He kept telling her his life in Korea until the bell rang. She got to know him better just by eating lunch together. She felt happy as the both of them stood up from their seats and began walking.
"You're amazing, Seokjin. You have a journey ahead of you," she smiled and looked at him. When she is with him, she feels somehow safe. It makes her so happy that she got the chance to know him. With Seokjin, she can tell what she feels or what her mind says. She is spontaneous when she is with him.
"I'll take that as a compliment, my dear," he said while giggling. Dear.
"Jin, do you know?"
"What?"
"I like―"
"You like me?"
"No, what the hell. I like pizza. Come on, let's finish this food and after class, let's head to the nearest pizza shop. I'm hungry," Krista grumbled, not expecting for Seokjin to joke around. She wouldn't like him, obviously.
"I'm just kidding, Krista. I was only playing around."
