Chapter XXIV: Saved

Wolf man...

I was stunned for a moment, it's like my brain stopped functioning completely.  It's not an everyday occurrence that an Alpha wolf submit entirely to another specie.

Although according to the legend our goddess: the luna, bowed her head to the Dragon King when the latter descend Earth to bring judgement. 

But that kind of thing only happens if the said being is higher than us wolves. This is some kind of sick joke. No one is more powerful than us. The vampires, demons, gods, fairies, us wolves and other supernatural creatures were all made by the Ancient Goddess of  Order. She gave all of us the same level of abilities. We may lack at something but we surely Excell at the other. It's like we're made to fill each others differences and gaps in our powers. Physical or not.

Then what is it that made my wolf submit. ? I can still feel the trembling of my fingers. My wolf is still stuck at the back of my mind. It's like he's completely shaken, which was an utter bullshit coz the guy is not that dangerous. I did not sensed bloodlust or dangerous aura at all, instead, he radiates warmth and comfort.

I shook my head. I'm not gonna keep on thinking over it.
I'm gonna ask him directly.

I clenched my fist. What the heck is he going to do in order to save my mate?

I quickly move and stalk towards the door to the infirmary. I gathered my wits and grabbed the knob and twisted it slowly.

My eyes scanned the room, the pack doctor and the witch healers were all standing at the corner , they were staring at Alois as the man reached for my mates' hand. I wanted to grabbed my mate away from him but instead I just keep it to myself and watched the event unfold right before my eyes.

With his gentle hands., Alois reached the part of his shoulder right at Brians bleeding wound. My mate  whimpered  making my chest ache at the sight.

"He'll be fine. You didn't have to worry. You can go now. " Alois gave the pack healers a simple nod as the men
Exit the room. Then he smiled at me, willing me and my wolf to put our trust on his shoulder. I nod at him indicating my approval without verbally saying it.

I sighed. I acted out of line, I disrespected him and gave him an attitude that he doesn't deserve. 

"Alpha-

"Vienn. Vienn Zarrati" I murmured. Correcting my name. He just nod and focused his attention to my whimpering mate.

"You can't heal this kind of wound. The problem is not the would but the poison in it... He was bitten by a demon. The demons fang- just like you, wolves, and  vampires emits a kind of enzyme that harms another specie. And the most poisonous is that of the demons." he uttered as he continued pressing his gentle palm at the bleeding skin.
His brow furrowed in concentration and he started to sweat as his breathing turned harsh. Then the part where his hands were pressed glowed eerily making my eyes widen. Just like that, It was like a seal has been broken. Alois looked more majestic., his skin is much creamier while his hair shined. Some markings appeared at the left side of his cheek making  him look ethereal. His presence is no longer masked, the same as his scent, that's why the moment I took a sniff, I already knew what he is. And the fact that he is one of them made me feel better. The legend says that any disease can be healed and they can even give any beings, immortality. The Phoenix. I stood in awe, while macy stood beside me, as we watch Alois heal Brians wounds.

After a minute, Alois straightened himself and pulled back. He look at Brian, waiting for the latter to open his eyes. He looks exhausted as sweat rolled down his chin. He gestured for me to come forward and I made it beside him. He took my hand and placed it on Brians chest. Confused as to what he wanted to say , I gave him a look. He just shrugged and made his way to the door.
I looked as the Brian, and tears of joy Slowly cascaded from my eyes down to my cheeks.

"He's breathing!" I exclaimed as I felt his chest rise and fall as he sleep. My tensed body instantly relaxed for my mate's life is no longer in danger. I gathered him in my arms and hugged him to my chest.

I almost lost him because of my stupidity. I looked at Macy, which I completely forgotten , standing there. She's crying and smiling the same as me. She nod at me as I mouthed to  her 'my apologies for acting like that  earlier.

She smiled "don't worry about it. Besides, you need to take care of him. We understand how you feel. It made me happy that you found my brother. Care for him, love him and cherish him.... Please, call me when he wakes up." She said as she turned on her heels, I have a feeling she'll be looking for Alois.

I carried my mate towards my room ,  and gently tucked him, I laid down beside him and encased my arms around his little Body. I felt hi. Snuggled closer to me, making me smile at the blissful feeling a simple gesture  made me feel.

I'll thank Alois for bringing my mate back to me,

but for now-

I yawned and closed my eyes as the much needed sleep finally took my consciousness away.
