Chapter 25

The Past: Confused.

I was crouching on the floor, hiding behind the couch with just my panties on. When I heard the knocks on the door earlier ay nataranta ako bigla. I immediately push Luke off me.

He told me na huwag kong pansinin mga katok. He tried to get on top of me again para ituloy ang ginagawa namin pero mabilis akong tumayo. Nawala sa isip ko na panties na lang ang suot ko. His eyes roamed on my body. So, I just jumped behind the couch to hide. Hindi ko na nagawa pang kunin ang mga damit ko na nagkalat sa sahig.

"Blaire, you don't need to hide. Lumabas ka diyan," he said but I didn't in anyway move.

"Just open the door and make whoever the hell is knocking go away!" I yelled. Kung hindi lang ako hubo't hubad ay ako na mismo ang nagbukas na pinto para tarayan ang kung sino mang nasa likod nito.

He sighed pagkatapos ay yumuko siya. He picked up his shirt and then he handed it to me. "Here, wear this."

Mabilis ko iyong tinanggap. It would be much better kung mga damit ko ang ibinigay niya sa akin pero shirt lang niya ang pinakamalapit sa kanya. My cloths were scattered in his floor. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit kailangan niyang ihagis ang mga ito sa malalayo.

As soon as I put his shirt on, he stood up and he headed for the door. I peek through the side of the couch and watched him as he opened the door. I cursed under my breath when I finally saw who was behind it.

"Luke!" Laura exclaimed. "Bakit ang tagal mong buksan? Akala ko napano ka na. I am so worried!"

I could not see Luke's reaction dahil nakatalikod siya sa akin. I was able to hear him, though. "What are you doing here? How did you even know na nandito ako?"

"Galing ako sa bahay niyo. Tito said that you were staying here in your condo kaya tumuloy ako dito. I wanna check on you. And look, bumili ako ng food sa daan papunta dito."

"Did you mention to Dad what happened earlier?"

"Of course, I did not. I just told him na may sasabihin lang ako sa'yo so he told me about your whereabouts. So did you have dinner na?"

"No."

"I knew it. Sabay na tayo kumain. I bought enough food for the two of us. If you'll let me in, that is." Iniangat niya ang kamay niyang haway isang paper bag na may tatak ng isang kilalang restaurant. "Ihahain ko ang mga 'to."

My eyes widened.

Oh no, Luke. Don't you dare let her in.

It as if that he heard me. He shook his head and said, "I'm actually not hungry. I'm busy doing something and I can't let you in."

But Laura wouldn't just accept the on your rejection. "Hindi pwede, Luke. You need to eat para mainom mo 'yong painkillers at antibiotics na ibingay ng physician sa clinic kanina."

"I don't need to drink those meds.
Galos lang ito."

"No." She gently pushed him aside so she could make her way inside. I gritted my teeth. Bitch!

Gustong-gustong lumabas mula sa likod ng couch at tapos noon ay kaladkarin siya palabas but I unfortunately couldn't. She couldn't see me like this— wearing only my panties and Luke's shirt.

"Laura, this is really not a good time," he said, using his icy tone but she seemed unaffected and unintimidated.

She started walking toward the kitchen. "As soon as we are done eating and you drink your meds, I out of here. You can resume whatever you are doing."
