Chapter Fourteen

When we arrive in the Bahamas Soph and I go to the hotel so we can change into bikinis and head to the beach. Once we get to our hotel, The One and Only Ocean Club Hotel we are shocked, it is so beautiful. The friendly staff takes our bags to our room as we head to the room. We are so surprised by how amazing the hotel it. It has a tennis court, golf course, massaging service, and beautiful blue water.

Once we enter the hotel room I’m expecting to see Kellan but instead I see Josh Hutcherson. I start to hyperventilate just a little. “Surprise!” Soph says. Stay Cool Amanda, Stay Cool. I keep telling myself. “Hi, it’s so great to finally meet you Amanda, Kellan and Soph have both told me about you a lot and how beautiful you are. But beautiful is definitely not the word to describe you. You are… Gorgeous.” He says shaking my hand. “Thank you!” I stutter. “Hey, no need to be nervous around me. I’m just another person.” He says. “No, your not just another person. You are Josh Hutcherson the famous star that I’ve been dieing to meet my whole life!” I say. “That’s sweet. I really want to get to know you more. Dinner tonight? Let’s say 8?” He asks. “Yes.” I say smiling. He surprises me when he kisses me cheek and leaves the room. I feel faint and that’s what I do. I pass out right on the plush sofa.

When I wake up I’m cold and wet. “Thanks Soph.” I say sarcastically and with a straight face. “You did it to me. Three times…” She says smiling. “Thanks for getting Kellan to get Josh here.” I say. “You would’ve done it for me.” She says. “Want to go play tennis?” I ask. “Yeah, let’s go!” Soph says. We head down to the tennis courts and play. We aren’t very good. But we have a lot of fun. After a while we get a little tired so we head down to the beach. We just walk along the beach looking for seashells. “We should get back to the room so you can get ready for your date.” She says.

We head back to the room and Soph lightly curls my hair. I put on a floral high low

summer dress and wedges. Soph does my makeup as well. “You should come with.” I say. “No, I don’t want to be a third wheel.” She says. “Please. I’m going to need you there just in case I start to hyperventilate.” I say with a smile. She gives in and puts on a floral summer dress and heels. “We are meeting them at the restaurant.” I say. “Ok, let’s go!” She says. Before we get to the restaurant we check each other and walk in.

I see Kellan from a far and I know Soph doesn’t see him. I see Josh and I wave and he comes over and takes my hand and leads me to a table. “Where’s Kellan?” I whisper nervously. “He went to go get roses for Soph when he saw you guys come in.” He whispers back. I see Kell and he sits down Soph is standing by the door looking lost and I wave her over. When Soph sees him she jumps up and hugs him. They kiss and sit back down. “Surprise!” I say. “I love you girl!” She says. “Love you too!” I say.

I get a glass of wine and start to drink it. We order our food. We get crabs and shrimp and other shellfish. After we eat we all walk down the beach together. Josh asks me to be his girlfriend and I agree. I feel like I’ve known him forever. Before we head back to our room we stop for ice cream. We stop at our hotel door. Kellan kisses Soph and heads into his room beside us. Josh moves a piece of hair out of my face and kisses me. “I’ll see you later.” He says smiling and entering the same room as Kell. I walk into our room with a smile on my face and head to bed.
