Chapter Twenty-Seven

When we get to our seats Hunter comes out and the fans start to scream. “How are you all doing tonight?” Hunter says. The fans scream more. I’m sitting beside Tiff and Josh and I continue to hear, “I’m so going to marry him, he’s so cute.” Tiff just shakes it off. “Tonight I’m singing all of my songs and this song is dedicated to my beautiful amazing girlfriend Tiffany, I love you!” He says. Tiff blushes and some fans say “aww.” While others boo. He begins to sing wanted which I know is Tiff’s favorite. We sing along and have a great time. Hunter takes a short break so Tiff, Soph, and I head back to see him. Tiff greets him with a kiss and greets Soph and I with hugs. We talk for awhile while Hunter fixes his guitar and drinks water. “Well I should get back out there ladies.” He says heading back to the stage. We get back to our seats. “This song was a song that I thought was my life’s theme song before I met Tiffany. A lot of people out there can relate. This is Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me. I hope you enjoy.” He says.

The concert is over and we see Hunter before we leave. I hug Tiff and tell her I will see her on Monday. We head back to our apartment. “Well we are going to our hotel.” Josh says kissing me. “I love you!” He whispers kissing me again. Kel and Josh leave and head back to their hotel. Soph and I talk about when we saw Hunter Hayes in concert in our hometown just a few years ago. We talk about a lot of memories and head to bed.

When I wake in the morning the sun is shining and I smell coffee and something burnt. I wash my face and brush my teeth and hair and head to the kitchen. I grab a cup of coffee and see burnt toast sitting on the counter. “Um…” I pause. “I forgot I put bread in the toaster.” Soph says with a laugh. I roll my eyes and start making muffins. In twenty minutes jumbo blueberry muffins are sitting on the table. I pick at a muffin before heading in the shower. I get out of the shower and put on leggings and a long tee. Soph is dressed and Kel and Josh are sitting in the living room waiting for me. We walk around doing nothing and head to a local park. After awhile we get extremely bored and decide we want to head to a pet store. Soph and I are looking at kittens and Kel and Josh are looking at puppies. “Aw look at this kitty!” Soph squeals looking at an adorable Maine Coon kitten. “Oh my gosh she’s so cute!!” I say. “I know right!” She agrees. “We are allowed to have pets at our apartment. I think we should get her.” Soph says. “Agreed!!” I say. We look around at the other kittens and find another adorable Maine Coon kitten and we decide we are going to get two, one for each of us. We buy the adorable kittens and head to our apartment. When we get to our apartment we let the girls roam around and we set up the stuff we bought her. The four of us sit around and debate names.

Soph’s kitten is an adorable orange Maine Coon. She is precious. She has grayish green eyes. My kitten is a Maine Coon Calico. She has bright blue eyes and has brown, black, and white patches. “Ok what should we name mine?” Soph asks. “Fluffy?” Josh says. We give him a look. “Ginger?” I say with a smile. “Haha.” Soph says. “What about Winnie?” Kel suggests. “I love that!” Soph squeals clutching Winnie is her arms. “Ok, what should we name mine?” I ask. “Tiger?” Kel suggests. “Maisy?” Soph says. “No to both.” We sit around pondering. “Patches?” Josh says looking at her. Soph and I look at each other. “Winnie and Patches!” Soph says smiling. I hold Patches as she falls asleep in my arms while Winnie licks Sophs hand. We spend the rest of the day playing with Winnie and Patches.
