We get to the Opera House and see that they are doing Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. We are excited and buy tickets. We are can’t wait to see there rendition because in eighth grade we performed The Taming of the Shrew. She played Bianca the sweet, beautiful daughter and I played the nameless Widow. We take our seats and watch the play. I was so wonderful! Before we leave we head to the souvenir shop and buy souvenirs from this amazing experience. We head back to our hotel room and drop off the stuff we bought at the shop.
We next head to The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb to conquer my fear of heights and bridges. We get to The Sydney Bridge and are taken up. I am of course scared out of my mind and Soph is very calm. She holds onto my hand tightly to give me courage. We get to the top and I feel a sense of great pride. I take a picture from the top and multiple shots of the view. My fear of heights seemed to vanish as we went back down towards stable ground. I did it!! I conquered my fear of heights and bridges. Soph was very proud of me and I was proud of myself. At the end of the climb I bought a shirt saying ‘I conquered my fear of heights and bridges at The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb’ on the front and ‘Conquer your fears in Sydney, Australia today! I did!’ on the back. After that we went back to the hotel to get our bikinis to get ready for our scuba dive and swim.
We get our bikinis on that we got at Aeropostale and put cute summer dresses over that. We grab our sunglasses and sandals and leave the room. We get to the scuba dive center and get our guide. We get in the water and are really excited. I got my waterproof camera so I can capture the amazing aquatic life. We see sharks and dolphins and brightly colored fish. It is so beautiful, the coral sways with the light current. The tropical fish were swimming around our feet and we swam around with the fish. We take a lot of pictures of the aquatic animals and after awhile we just swim around. About an hour after swimming we head back to our hotel so Soph can get ready for her date with Kellan.
We get back to the hotel and she jumps in the shower. I sit on the couch watching TV when she comes out looking stunning in a beautiful floral summer dress, her hair curled, 6 inch heels and beautiful eye makeup. “Geez! You look beautiful!” I say. She smiles and twirls around. There is a light knock on the door and I open it to find a good-looking Kellan with red roses. “Oh you shouldn’t have!” I say jokingly. “These are for…” He starts. “I know Kellan, I was joking. I’ll take them for her, come in.” I say. I get a vase and put the roses in them. Soph comes walking out and Kellan’s jaw drops.
“You look stunning!” He says. “Thank you!” She says blushing. “Well, you clean up nicely from a couple of pass outs.” He says smiling. “Thanks!” She says. “We should get going, we have dinner reservations.” He says. “I want her back by midnight, Prince Charming!” I say. He smiles and she waves me goodbye. “Have a good time Cinderella!” I say before the door closes. They leave and I seat on the couch by myself watching The Hunger Games.
