Chapter Thrity-One

Today is the day of the premiere and I had Soph come over to help me get ready. I decided I’m going to wear the Cross Waist Chiffon gown that I got in Fuschia. We spend the day doing my nails and talking and about an hour or two before the premiere Soph gets me in the dress. She does my hair in a really pretty up do and does my makeup. “You look so…. I’m speechless!” He says kissing me. “Whoa bro, I’m doing her makeup!” Soph says to Josh. He laughs and she just looks at him, “Well I will get you in about twenty minutes.” He says leaving the room. Soph puts her finishing touches on me and we take a picture together. Josh and I take a picture together before we leave in the limo.

When we get there he grabs my hand as we walk the red carpet. We pose and take pictures together and his fans are screaming. Josh walks over to do interviews and he insists I come with him. “So Josh this is your movie but your girlfriend is totally up staging you in this dress!” The interviewer says with a laugh. I smile and they start asking me questions. “Who did your hair, makeup and nails?” She asks. “My best friend, Sophia, Kellan Lutz’s girlfriend.” I say. “Wow, that’s amazing! Where did you get this dress?” She continues. “It’s a Jovani dress.” I say. She starts asking Josh questions and I stand beside him. We are doing our last interview before we see the movie. “What will you guys be doing this weekend?” The interviewer asks. “Well it is our five year anniversary!” Josh says smiling. “Aw you guys have been dating for five years, wow.” He says. “What have you been doing lately Amanda?” He continues. “I just graduated from culinary college last week.” I say. “Culinary college?” He sounds astonished. “Yes, one of my best friends and I are planning on owning a bakery somewhere here in LA.” I say. The interviewer congratulates us and we head in to see the movie.The movie was amazing and we are heading straight home. I’m so tired that I just sleep in a cami and spandex without taking off my makeup. Josh kisses me before heading to his room. I fall into a deep slumber.

When I wake in the morning I smile because I remember that today is five years. When I open my eyes I see my room filled with pink and red heart shaped balloons. “What the hell?” I say. I rub my eyes thinking this is a just a dream. There is a note on my pillow, “Good Morning my beautiful girlfriend, today five years ago I met you! In these balloons are 101 reasons why I love you! Love, Josh.” I smile and sigh, he’s so sweet. I find a pin attached to the note. I pick up one balloon at a time and pop them. “#1 You are absolutely beautiful” I smile. “#77 You have beautiful red hair” I laugh. “#35 You are so comfortable in your own skin.” Not as much as you think, I think to myself. “#95 You make me forget that I’m a star because you are the only star I see.” “#100 You are my soul mate” I smile. I look around the room and can’t find the 101st balloon. I look everywhere and find a note attached to my mirror. “Beautiful girls don’t need makeup.” I look for makeup anyway but see that he took all of it. I go to my closet and grab a dress and heels. I put it on and head downstairs. In the kitchen is another note, “Having Kel and Soph set us up was one of the best things that has ever happened to me because I found the love of my life.” The words Soph and Kel are underline like it signifies something. I think about it. I think its supposed to make go to there house.

When I pull into Kel’s long driveway I see Soph tanning outside. “Soph!” I yell. She comes over to me with a package in hand. “I was given orders to give you this box and help you get ready!” Soph says. “Get ready for what?” I ask. “I was sworn to secrecy. I swore on my brothers life.” She says. “Soph you don’t have a brother…” I say with a laugh. “Exactly, I can give you a hint now!” She says with a laugh. “Josh is setting something up for you!” She says taking me to her room. She puts me in another beautiful Jovani dress. It’s a strapless cocktail dress with metallic fringes she gives me gold heels and puts gold eyeliner and gold eye shadow on. “When did you get this?” I ask. “When you were changing when we were “buying” your dresses Josh and I picked it out.” She says. Huh, what is he planning? “Well I was told to give you this address and put you in this dress.” She says. I get in my car and type the address in my GPS.

When my GPS says I’m at my destination I see that it is the beach. I see a path of red, white, pink, and yellow roses and I follow. I see a large red heart shaped balloon under a gazebo with twinkling lights. I see a pin hanging from the ceiling of the gazebo. I pop the large balloon and a note falls out. I open the note and see the words, “Amanda Rose Black, I love you with all my heart! Will you marry me?” I turn around and see Josh on one knee. “Amanda, I’m so grateful that Kellan and Sophia set us up. If they never set us up I would have never met the love of my life. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you more than you will ever know. Amanda Black, Will you marry me?” he says opening a Tiffany’s box. “Oh my God! Yes, absolutely yes!” I say jumping in his arms. We kiss and I see Soph and Kel standing at the edge of the water. “I love you so much, to infinity and beyond!” I say. He smiles, “I love you!” He says kissing me again. “Congratulations you guys!” Kel says. I am still shocked and Soph and I stare at the ring in awe. “That’s a Tiffany Grace!” Soph says staring at the ring. “I know I was looking at it online.” I say.  After Josh’s amazing proposal, the four of us go out to dinner.

 Before we leave the restaurant Kel and Soph congratulate us again. I hug them and Josh and I head home. When we get home Josh and I are talking. We are lying in bed, his arms around me. “That was probably the best proposal ever!” I say. “Yeah, it took a lot of thought, but it was totally worth it for you!” He says. “You are the best fiancée a girl could ask for! I love you!’ I say. I kiss him goodnight and curl up in his arms and I fall into a deep slumber in his embrace after the best day of my life.
