Christmas is a little over a week away and I’m really excited. I’m sitting in Soph’s Porsche, we are going shopping for Kel and Josh’s Christmas presents. Soph and I are trying to figure out what to get them. “I think we should get them something personal. Like one of a kind.” I suggest. “I agree, but what?” She asks. “I have an idea for myself.” I say. “What’s your idea?” She asks as she pulls into a parking space outside Starbucks. We go in and order our drinks and sit down. “Well, I want to make a collage of all the pictures and things we’ve done together.” I say. “That’s awesome! I think I might make a timeline of pictures.” Soph says. “That’s cool!” I say. We head to a craft store to pick up things for our projects. After getting our supplies we head to my place because Josh is at some convention. We go up to the guest room and start making our gifts.

After about three hours of fancy handwriting, photos, postcards, and tickets we are finished with our presents. We make sure they are perfect and we decide to wrap them now. I place his gift under our tree beside Sophia’s. Soph and I sit in the living room and talk about the New Years party Josh and I are planning, which is when Soph and I are exchanging gifts. “I can’t wait to give you your present.” I say. “I can’t wait to give you yours.” She says with a smile. We talk for a while more before Kellan calls her. I sit in the empty house until I hear the door open.

Josh comes in with Chinese food in hand. “Yum!” I say. We eat dinner and talk for a while about Christmas. “I’m really excited to see where you grew up!” I say. “I’m excited for you to see it!” He says kissing me. We head to bed. I lay awake watching Josh breathe, his chest rise and fall. I can’t believe I got so lucky. I can’t believe I will be marrying him in about six months. I smile and lay my head on his shoulder.
