Best Friend Bucketlist

Chapter Fifty-Three

When I wake in the morning Josh had left for a meeting. I get up and do my normal routine. Today is a day I'm spending with my best friend. She's getting married in just a few days so I thought we should have a best friend day. I'm dressed and sitting in the kitchen with a coffee when I call Sophia. She picks up at the second ring, "Hey girl. I'm dressed and getting in my car on my way to your house!" She says. "Awesome! I'm just sitting here waiting for ya!" I say. She laughs and says she'll be here soon.

The door opens and I know it's Soph. "Hey!" She says closing the door! "Hi!" I say pulling her into a hug. "So what's on the agenda for today?" She asks. "Well we are going to go the spa first." I say. She smiles, "that is exactly what I need!" "Well then let's go!" I say grabbing her hand and heading to my car.

When we get to the spa we are given our robes and sent to get full body massages first. As we are getting our massages we talk about her wedding and how excited she is. She begins saying how nervous she is when I cut off. "Come on Soph. What are you worried about. You and Kellan are perfect for each other. There's nothing to be worried about, you have everything ready. Just relax. I took you to the spa for a reason!" She laughs, "you're right." I laugh this time. "I know!" She punches my arm. Next we are sent over for facials. While they do our facials we also get mani pedis. The spa took half the day and it was very relaxing. After the spa we head back to my house.

"I'm really glad that we have these best friend days, it relaxes me." Soph says as we lay on the couch in the living room. "I enjoy having them, getting to spend much needed time with my best friend, it relaxes me to have you around." She smiles. We just lay around the rest of the day, watching movies, talking, just doing best friend things. We are going over some of the wedding details when Josh comes barging in. "Hey girls!" He says and leans down to kiss me. "How was your day?" He asks. "Relaxing." Sophia and I say in unison. "Then I'm guessing you had a better day then me." He says flopping down on the leather chair. "What happened?" I ask sitting up. "Just the damn paparazzi, no biggie. They were chasing me around all day." He says with a sigh. "Sorry babe that really sucks." I say. "Well ladies, I'll leave you to whatever." He says with a laugh and leaves the room.

We spend the rest of the night just looking over her wedding details and eating a few sweets along the way. Soph's iPhone starts ringing and she groans. "Well my dearest best friend, I must be leaving. Thank you so much for this relaxing amazing day!" She pulls me into a hug. "Love you!" I say as she heads out the door. Josh comes swooping down the stairs and grabs me from behind. "So babe, would like me to cook you dinner?" He whispers in my ear. "Let's make dinner together! I say turning towards him. "That idea is so much better!" He says kissing me.

We head into the kitchen and begin preparing our food. We starting cutting up the pork chops and I dipped them in the breading and started cooking them. Josh cut up some potatoes and put some paprika on them and put them in the oven to bake. I grabbed some of the cupcakes from the plate I had made yesterday. Dinner smelt amazing and we sat down and enjoyed. After a relaxing day with my best friend and a delicious dinner with my husband I fall asleep wrapped in my husbands embrace.
